saadiya
Which store
Hi it was in Asda IOD, it's not yellow sticker so should be most places I'd think. Yellow sticker are ones only done by that particular store.
Which store
just use them to make a large batch of these and good to go: Nutella Puffs

Zero soddin' sign of them in mine. Had a foreign worker walking round in circles looking for it like it was a vegetable called a wonkey. I had to ditch her by the bok choy in the end & run off. Jesus.
This ...omg lol
Do you know whats wonky, none of the stores are in N.Ireland

Why is this so HOT? They are selling you these ''wonky'' read as -just normal average vegetables, for 2x higher price than the ''non-wonky'' cost? You must be retarded to fall for this stupid stuff..but than again Most of the General UK public is.
Id love to see some pics to see what one looks like, cause although it's listed as being available at my local I've never seen them, and it would be interesting to see what everyone had in they're boxes

Like most out of season fruit in supermarkets.
These are tasteless.
All the ones in my asda come from spain, I'll wait until they get some proper strawberries in
They were really sour.
I had these last week and they were from Morocco. They were very large and rather hard. I will give them a miss this week.

These stuff is awful, excellent marketing from them to make such a success
I'm sure most people realise what's in them. The trouble is people have been brain washed into thinking that anything with sugar or sweetener is bad. A typical kids style yoghurt such as Petits Filous contains 4x the sugar of a fruit shoot but people seem ok with that. Just brush their teeth regular enough and there's no problem!
lawsangel
I hate how these are very much targeted towards kids as some sort of healthy fruit drink when the reality is it's full of crap.
They don't even taste nice!
Good deal though if you like it though.

Glad to see there is some parents there that understand what fruit shoot really is.

Sugar or artificial sweetener. What's better for my child? I'll stick to a water thanks.
1.6g of sugar per bottle, that's nothing. I guess you don't give them breakfast cereal or yoghurts either then?
Chances are cherry_1306 is aware that most cereals are also loaded with sugar, not quite sure what your getting at here?

No I don't give them sugary cereal, they happily eat muesli on a school days and yes, you can get ones that don't contain sugar or sweetener.

Im a big fan of lidl but that western gold was terrible. For some reason i put it in the freezer and half of the bottle froze the rest was still liquid. Never seen that with Sprit before.
Jim beam seems to always be 13 at asda and is far better
This will happen with any highish percentage alcoholic drink. Alcohol freezes at -114.1 °C so it remains liquid at normal freezer temperature, typically -18 °C.
In home made wine making it is sometimes used and referred to as freeze distillation. The liquid portion is a higher percentage alcohol than the original wine. However it is not quite as simple as that due to the way the ethanol and water molecules behave as a solution.
I always thought anything over 40 wouldnt freeze.
My wife is polish and we have a freezer for vodka. None of it has ever frozen. Made me suspicious that the western gold was poor quality.
Here's a thread on people having Absolut Vodka freezing but not other brands. https://contact.absolut.com/org/absolut-vodka/d/so-why-does-absolute-freeze-when-no-other-brands-d/
In your case I suspect that this is because the Jim Beam is matured in oak barrels, it has many minute particles in it that your vodka doesn't. The ice crystals will only form if there are particles present, in exactly the same way that rain forms on miniscule dust particles in the air. Your vodka(s) will not have been in contact with any dust and is probably bottled in a very pure environment and possibly direct from the still itself. I wouldn't say that this makes the Jim Beam poor quality though, not that I drink it anyway!
PS Are you sure the JB and the Vodka are the same percentage alcohol? One might be 37.5%, one might be 40% or more.

It was the western gold from lidl that froze. But you could be right ive never tried any other burboun in the freezer.

we all taste things differently so it doesn't matter if some say they don't like the taste of a certain brand and others do, the thing is its giving us info about different brands that are cheaper if we want to try them for ourselves to see and the main thing is if there's a price reduction on someone's favourite tipple it lets them know so they can stock up.

i needed size 3 and size 6 and buy from asda anyway. they have got rid of the ones in the purple packaged ones and changed the packaging and pack sizes on the green ones. i buy 3 packs of each to last me a month....all the old packaging ones were on an aisle end. picked up my 3 size 6 and 3 size 3's, took them to the till and only the 6's had been reduced so still saved money just not as much as I'd have liked
Not at Basildon Eastgate. Basildon pipes Hill, essex had quite alot of size 4 and 4+ about 11am this morning.

Coal bunkers!

Mined in China I assume?
The majority of the coal used in the UK is imported from Russia or Canada, despite the fact we have plenty of our own. A certain Mrs Thatcher saw to it that profits from coal went to corporate friends rather into our communities.

Douwe Egberts sold the Carte Noire brand to Lavazza in 2015 and are now busy selling the brand thru as their interim rights to continue to use the name are expiring. L'Or isn't a new brand on the continent and clearly is now being launched here to fill the Carte Noire gap.

That would explain why Tassimo seem to be replacing the Carte Noir pods with L'or. Makes more sense now. Thanks.

That's cheap but I really don't like them . Tried them and I always end up with dirty dishes. My sister swears by them. Maybe it's my water
not sure I've noticed much of a difference between them tbh. more often than not, it's the way I've stacked the dishes that determines how well they have been cleaned.
I hope my opinion isn't about to change!!

Asda: A Company History

AsdaFounded in Yorkshire by a group of farmers in the 1920s, Asda has become a retail giant. Since 1999, the firm has been part of the Walmart Group and has diversified from its base in food retailing, becoming a major player in the everyday fashion sector thanks to its affordable George brand. It has also branched out into budget products, with the Asda Smart Price product line.

Where to Buy Asda Products

Asda runs over 500 stores across the UK, so there should always be one relatively close to where you are. The best way to seek out your nearest Asda is by logging onto their website and using the Store Locator. Just enter your postcode or town into the text box next to the map and any nearby outlets will be shown.

Alternatively, you can shop online for Asda products at www.asda.com. Using the Asda website allows you to have the store’s goods delivered straight to your door and you can also use the click and collect service at any local Asda store.
