95% of ( so called Indian curry houses & takeaways ) are actually Halal, you don't see many mr Singhs / Kumars running/ owning them places!

Well the region is the Indian Subcontinent made up a dozen or countries, not just India. They don't have exclusivity on the cuisine (_;)

Berio is among these popular Italian makes that have been investigated in Italy and around the world for commercial fraud.

People still drink coke?
People in North London still speak English?
N1 is Angel, Old Street, Hoxton, Shoreditch. Have you ever been around here? It's 2 mins walk to the city of London. I assume you haven't got a clue of what you just stated. Secondly, knowing perfect English has no correlation with intelligence.
I can only assume whatever you are drinking, instead of coke, has removed your sense of humour.
Assuming that you still had one, living in London.
I must also assume knowing perfect English does not help to understand what is written.
It seems fair to assume you read into things, what you want to, rather than what is actually written.
As I made no reference to intelligence, I can only assume your comment was made in defence. :p

I currently live in Leicester. So you assume when reading, nice.

What about: mysupermarket.co.uk.

They mention deliveries on their website.

Does anybody use this delivery service and how does it compare (or is there something I've misunderstood). I can't find a phone number for them to call up and ask.
Looking to make my first foray into the world of online groceries.
I think there are quite a number of people that are looking into doing the same - but don't know the differences/benefits of one over the other.
So I'm asking for any input members can provide, helping us to compare and choosing the best online grocery/shopping solution.
Tesco/Iceland/Asda/Ocado etc. etc.
Open question to all

I've been doing my grocery shopping online for years now and this is what I've found -

Asda - Hopeless - Loads of substitutes, Any items grabbed off the shelf - Short shelf lives - Delivery's usually late

Tesco - Very reliable - very rarely are items missing - they pick the items with the longest dates but they charge more online for products than the other stores or even compared to visiting their local stores.

Iceland - Pretty impressed I have to say - Spend £35 for free delivery - they don't sell delivery passes. Bargain prices. Very limited delivery slots with large windows (2 hour slots+) but great for stocking the freezer.

Ocado don't deliver to me but used Waitrose a few times and they were brilliant. Hardly anything ever substituted and on the occasion they didn't have an item I ordered I got one that cost double for the same price. Even the drivers are extremely polite and offer as much help as you need. Great but pricey!
you'll be lucky if your groceries arrive at all with these muppets

Iceland for value, tesco for choice, sainsbury or ocado if you're loaded, asda if you only want 50% of your order delivered :)
I purchased an anytime delivery pass with Asda just before Christmas last year. I currently pay the fiver a month. I have therefore six months experience with this company. Now I might be lucky because where I live in Stevenage we have a large Supercentre Asda and that provides us with the luxury of more choice and avaliblilty. Through experience I have found the earlier the delivery in the day the less chance there is on substitute products. However a lot of the time this has not been an issue for me whenever an order arrives throughout the day. We tend to accept most of the subs, and the delivery staff are actually very nice and polite. Would I recommend, well certainly where I live yes but I've read other comments on other forums saying quite the opposite. For the price on offer now it's a steal. Online shopping saves you time, hence why I do it. Hope this helps.

1.99 at farmfoods
Its not bad value for money 240 teabags for £2.50, it works out at 1.1111p recurring. My Grandad was telling during the war due to shortage of food and the German u-boats sinking our ships people used to hang their used teabags on the washing line to dry and use it again and again. Like everything else during the war there was a black market for used teabags and it became a currency on the blackmarket ( a bit like bitcoin ) from what my Gran said if the Police hadnot stepped in to stop it. Teabags would have become the currency of Britain. Imagine that getting paid in dried out teabags.
Got from Southampton asda few days back.

it's £2.99 in bodycare...... might dis-colour teeth but its the only thing that keeps ulcers out my mouth!
You may have some serious underlying problem that needs attention such as gum disease
I think my dentist would have noticed that by now! My doctor said im just 1 of those people who get them!
Good price but the generic can be bought cheaper at Home Bargains all year round. Poundshop also sells the generic (for a pound), albeit in a smaller bottle.

Also, I'm pretty sure you're only supposed to use it once or twice a week. Also, hydrogen peroxide is cheaper and better IMO
it's £2.99 in bodycare...... might dis-colour teeth but its the only thing that keeps ulcers out my mouth!
I used to get mouth ulcers repeatedly, multiple painful ones since my early teens up until I was around 40. I'm 45 now, I either outgrew them or it's the toothpaste I've used for the past 4 or 5 years. http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/dr-organic-tea-tree-toothpaste-60083581
I also stopped drinking orange juice too around the same time. Who knows what causes it, the doctors/scientists don't really know.
I get them if i eat Haribos! lol

I used to frequent this site >http://www.mouthulcers.org/ as I suffered so badly with mouthulcers. What that site tells you is anecdotal evidence, and no one really knows yet what causes mouth ulcers, I doubt there's one main cause for them. The fact I use that toothpaste I mentioned earlier could be a coincidence, or it might actually treat whatever the cause is of mouth ulcers for me. I know it's not gluten or stress that causes them. I'm more stressed than ever this days as I have a condition called GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder) which is a neat way for the Doctor to tell me they have no idea what the biological/environmental conditions are that cause my severe anxiety. So stress doesn't really play a part for me I think as I'm often severely stressed and don't have mouth ulcers anymore.

Edited By: fishmaster on May 23, 2016 08:37
This stuff (the full strength version) can actually cause ulcers as well.

I was told to use it after the initial surgery for dental implants. And they did heal up nicely (and quickly). But I was starting to get ulcers (I never get ulcers) after a couple of weeks using it. The surgery doing the implants (a damn good surgery ... not my usual dentist) said that can happen.

Stopped the Corsodyl (I would have anyway, the implant posts were healed). Ulcers went away. Long term (on dentist advice) I use Listerine.
Where is the evidence that it discolours teeth?
It says so on the packaging.

Asdas turn?

it's always one or the other supermarket's turn to sell something at the 'normal' price, and not the inflated price

Cheddar cheese is a popular one. Almost always have a 350g block of one of the brands (Cathedral City, Pilgrims, McLelland) for £2. It's like they strategically take turns! I absolutely refuse to pay full price for any of them. I don't understand how some people can be ultra brand loyal, surely they get ripped off half of the year when a very similar product is on offer.
