Went to Asda chelmsford last night and there was no sign of this offer. All they had were fillets. Buy 2 for £4.... twice as expensive.

The worst thing tho' with whole seabass is having to de-scale the bliddy things.
jaffacake651
Is it an active or passive bass?

The ones I bought are distinctly passive :)

Erm..... There's no ASDA in Luton unless you're counting Dunstable as being part of Luton.

There's an ASDA on Wigmore Lane and has been ever since Gateway became ASDA. :)
Jesus Christ on a bike I went to Asda to buy these and the smell wafting out the fish counter had me heaving. I've never smelt such a dirty fish counter in all my life, I told the manager he has a cheek to sell fish reeking like that. The knobend said he couldn't smell anything oO
Sounds fishy to me!

never see these in the stores here, usually see them when i go to bradford and keighley areas.

Usually the offers are based on religious festivals, but as i'm not religious i don't know.

This is not an anti religion statement before anyone asks or comments on it.

Just observation.
Have some heat op, this is a great deal, along with the same brand tomatoes, just right for a decent curry.

Anyone got any delicous ancient family recipes for humous/hummus that they'd like to share?

I make houmous with a tin of these, a teaspoon or two of tahini, a good glugg of extra virgin oil, a generous scoop of salt and freshly ground pepper. water to desired consistency. then comes flavour, garlic and herb works well. as does olives and fried mushrooms. tomato an basil is a classic. turmeric turns houmous yellow :)

I buy 12 cans for £3.60 from local indian shop so that's 30p hot from me!

You forgot lemon! You cant have hummus without lemon!

Damn straight! I make mine very lemony.

Also you can make falafel with ease. Just throw chick peas, an onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, plain flour, salt and pepper into a food mixer, whiz it up. Shape it into balls (add breadcrumbs if they feel like they'll break up easily) and shallow fry in olive oil until browned all over. Serve in a tortilla with green leaves, tomato salsa and minted yoghurt.

I can vaguely recall the kidney beans were 27p and chilli beans 28p...
http://www.chorizorecipes.co.uk/traditional-spanish-chorizo-stew.html

If you haven't tried it this chicken and chorizo stew is why I buy chikpeas. The stronger and oilier the chorizo the better. If you can make yourself not eat it all at once then it keeps getting better and better.

sorry just read this. no, it didnt.
Got some C260's at my local but they were £18 down from £22. They weren't with the rest of the earphones though. I had to ask the person behind the counter & they went off to find them from somewhere.
Still I needed some new earphones & these seem pretty decent.

Just went but they scanned at full price.

Well I think they would have to have a sale sticker on them. Mine scanned at full price but obviously they knock it down to the price on the sticker. Sorry you didn't manage to get the offer.
Well either by chance, they sold around 20 pair of them in 24 hours at the Bradford store or we must have a lurker or two on here who hasn't acknowledged going to buy some as I was there again this morning and there were just two pairs of the 260's left @ £11.

I picked them up as stocking fillers for Christmas but seems they went pretty quickly.

I was genuinely disappointed with this stuff. They've just copied magners and bulmers. Not great.

ASDA bakery is the worst if all the big supermarkets and as its the same price in morrisons and tesco, this has to COLD.

Nonsense and a pointless comment. HOT
I love tiger bread and the Asda in Yarmouth has the best bakery of any supermarket i've been in. If only it could stay at 50p........ actually that probably wouldn't do much for my waistline!
OP - you had a whole tiger loaf for dinner?! This is a great deal though - I remember when it was about 70p for 800g all the time and that was only a few years ago. My Asda's bread is lovely but I'm not a great fan of Tesco instore bakery so know where I'll be getting this.

ittom
Bought one of these in the Asda Hunts Cross store yesterday, to go with a family meal with dips etc.. you would be wise to make sure you select one thats cooked properly as ours was uncooked and wet inside and had an unbelievably strong smell and taste of raw yeast, not nice at all, spoiled the occasion and ruined the meal and the hard work that went into it.

Thing was, on the outside it looked and felt well cooked, must be the finish they use. probably why they are so cheap compared to their normal price.

If you thinking of buying one of these then try to choose carefully, or don't plan on making it part of a meal....

So 3 supermarkets reduce the price because one store under-cooked their bread?
Got one in Mr. T today. 50p for 800g (or 70p for 400g!)
Love Tiger bread, had one from Asda and one from Tesco last week and the Asda one was much nicer. Guess it just depends on each store.

Only thing I have notice with Asda is they slice it too early and squash the loaf up. They need to let them cool a bit first.

go to tesco and they selling them for 50p and also have honey nut bite size shredded wheat 49p box, and other good stuff to
think this only applies to the RAWRIDGE range

Dying to print numerous labels at work so as to head off for 50p off £1.00 packs should it be the case
Feltham had Original, Honey&Almond, Apple&Blueberry, Sweet Cinnamon for £1.
They had another listed at full price (the one with cranberry I think), couldn't see the new flavours.

My son has this duvet cover and it's a real pain! It's made of a kind of shiny slippery material and the duvet (inside the cover) gets all twisted and scrunched up.
£3.19 is a good deal but be prepared to have to straightened it several times a night!

Cheaper duvets are 100% polyester. it's a right pain. I got some for my daughters, and we've ended up chucking them. I wouldn't pay 1p for this.

Surely expired as several people have noted this is now £2 - come on mods!!

Why are you calling for Mods to expire this deal meaning other members might miss out on it ?
As I have stated in the title listing it maybe store specific ,and as this is a end of line item it can take one or two days for other stores to follow suit and reduce the price accordingly. Please look at all my past Asda deals I have listed to see this is true. Thankyou

Thats fair enough and hopefully what you say is true and other Asda stores will be following suit. However, at the moment you seem to be the only person that has managed to obtain this deal and you hadn't stated which store it was at, hence my comments

It must keep the staff on their toes changing the prices all the time, the tinned asda tomatoes changed price five times in one week.. Why oh why, are these things a commodity item, change price like barrels of oil...

because we do not live in a resource based economy, yet! in an RBE if we can produce a tin of beans then you'll have unrestricted access to as many tins of beans as you deem reasonable. technically we have the resources to make this a paradise on earth, money is the only limitation now.

Give your taste buds a chance and try some real decent beers. Get on google and look for new up coming British breweries such as Kernel, Magic Rock, Thornbridge, Dark Star etc.

Too right!

Also, can anyone shed any light on why the 3 different bottles of Brew Dog beers in Sainsburys have such vastly different prices?

Ah love a bit of Brewdog PUNK IPA. One of my favourite beers. The other two you are talking about must be the Hardcore (little bit too strong for me. If you like double IPA's i suggest Magic Rock Human Cannonball) and 3AM Saint.

What a ridiculous repsonse I have had from inBev,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding Rolling Rock.

Anheuser-Busch InBev is pleased to offer a wide range of products to meet consumer needs. We've launched Rolling Rock at 2.8% alcohol by volume in response to the growing consumer demand for lower alcohol beers.

Rolling Rock can be purchased in the UK at Asda-Walmart.

If we can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on 0870 2411124, Mon-Fri office hours or via email at [email protected]

Sure felt like I had flu, was bringing up some nasty stuff this AM, was all thick, lumpy and brown and bloody about the size of a 10p coin. Yummy.

My friend had her jab on Monday last week and just managed to get up today after being ill since Tuesday, so I think it affects a fair few people.
GreatestThing
i would recommend that NO ONE gets the flu jab. regardless of what your doctor likes to believe. there is no evidence that the flu vaccine works at all. (cochrane review, amongst many others: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1532492/Those-flu-jabs-could-be-a-waste-of-time-says-expert.html ) There IS evidence of side effects (i.e. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/7918351/Flu-jab-linked-to-fits-in-under-fives-officials.html and http://www.thelocal.se/34044/20110528/#) , and i know of many people in my family that have felt ill after having it as well. AVOID like the plague. and avoid the Tamiflu ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/swine-flu/5943331/Tamiflu-linked-to-side-effects-among-children-reports-find.html) medication as well!

I tend not to believe what the newspapers print. I would rather ask a health professional for advice.

Edited By: abattoir on Oct 25, 2011 14:28
Got mine done free by the GP today, I ask every year and get told the same each time "we'll put you on the waiting list and give you a call if we have any left over" and every year I get a call telling me to come down to te surgery.

That was in retaliation to his silly comment about the contents of my head.
If one does not want to receive a personal attack then one shouldn't launch a personal attack.

Tried the lamb sizzler last week, was lovely.

I don't like the sauce they use on the deli ones and always have to opt for the BBQ option, but that uses up 1 of your 4 choices!

Not anymore, Sunday I went and there was a sign saying it doesn't use it up anymore.
Also noticed they have finally split the vegetarian and meat away from each other and a sign saying tell the person serving if you want a create your own vegetarian pizza... Am assuming they will change their gloves or something....

Anyway 2 for £4 10" pizzas from the counter seems a better choice.
Deli counter is always hit or miss. There's nothing worse than getting the miserable cow taht is tight with the toppings as opposed to one of the cheery ones that piles the toppings on and couldn't care less about Asda's profit margin. You go and look - there is always one miserable stingy one behind every Asda deli counter. I find it best to wait for a few to be made and see which one is tight and avoid being served by her.
i had this and thought it was horrible tbh

They may have had more stock in the meantime which makes this comment pointless.
[quote=Avenger1324]You can find the choice of DVD's on the Stella website:
Action

Drama

THANK YOU so much for this info - I've been sitting on a redemption code for weeks as I was too dumb/lazy (you decide?) to find the details on their hopeless website and I have finally this morning ordered my DVD! More lazy time in front of the TV.... 8) Heehee
It's getting very hard to find the promotional packs now. I could qualify for one more dvd as I have redeemed 3 free dvds already. But can't find a pack and I always look.

Asda: A Company History

AsdaFounded in Yorkshire by a group of farmers in the 1920s, Asda has become a retail giant. Since 1999, the firm has been part of the Walmart Group and has diversified from its base in food retailing, becoming a major player in the everyday fashion sector thanks to its affordable George brand.
