Go to google earth and just type Domino's plus the first part of your postcode e.g. N12 then it lists loads of local domino's then you just call all your local branch's if they deliver see what offer they have on that night and choose the best one.

may sound rubbish but when i did this i found a domino's i had never ordered from and they do buy 1 get one free that night worth a try, post up how it works for you

Why would you use google earth? www.yell.co.uk is easier.
#2

okay what about any other night?

using google earth is much quicker and tells you the distance of the domino's from your house in order, not all domino's listed within 50 miles in a list

Dominos were on TV (North West) two nights ago. They got rid of British staff member because the Polish will work for less wages!!!!

What's wrong with that, that's smart business. UK is in the EU, so EU workers are allowed to work here. If you're in business, you should be hiring the most productive workers at the best rates. If you're not, then it's going to be hard to be competitive.

If you don't think we should be in the EU, write your MP.

Just because they are cheap doesnt mean they are productive :p

The Polish are hard workers tho!

Most of the dominos workers in Chester are polish. For some reason they don't expect a tip and just walk away :)
#9
Virtually all of the staff and drivers in Trowbridge's Dominos are Polish too, not got a problem with Polish as long as they make the effort to learn our language and don't sponge on benefits.

The most retarded post I have ever seen on HUKD.

Congrats to davcohen.
#11
This thread made me laugh.

As for the Poles, they're generally hard working honest people, much more so than half of the "natives" residing in this country. As Alchemista pointed out they've every right to be here and i'm glad they are.

Shocking and there is more of that to come. But dont worry the total clowns that think this is fine, I'm sure will be over the moon when they are booted out of work and their kids can not get work. Will never purchase from them again. On the list with currys (the shop) they go :-)

You are kidding right? Telling people to use Google Earth to find their nearby Domino's Pizza places...if I didn't know better, I'd think this was an April Fools!

How in god's name could this be classed as a hot deal????
#15
As cold as the pizza that lands on your doorstep!

Just wondering, if you needed some building work done and you got 2 quotes, one from Bill the Geordie builder and one from Pavel the Pole and you knew that both of them were just as good and reliable as the other.

The Geordie comes back and quotes you twice as much as Pavels estimate, are you telling me that you would give the job to the Geordie.

Feel free to lie.

No, it's "DEY TOOK OAARRR JUURRRBBSS!" :-D

If they're working for less, you know what to do - Work for even less! :whistling:

As was posted earlier in this thread, lets see how many people change their tune when it's their jobs, their friends and family, who are out of work because an immigrant has been employed to do the job cheaper.

I have nothing against immigrants whatsoever - what I do have a problem with is the ability to undermine the UK economy and by enlarge, the honest general working class people who are increasingly finding themselves out of work due to cheaper "foreign" labour.
Finding someone who will do YOUR job cheaper should not enable YOU to be left high and dry.

What percentage of the immigrants send their wages home to family left behind? Just exactly how does that help our economy transferring money out of the UK?
#22
300000 immigrants last year from the EU and they can't do jack about it...

I'm sure they're sorry scousertommy, considering you were just on the verge of starting your new job at Dominos and the Poles came and took it (!) And for the others in this frame of mind...were you all planning to start 12 hour shifts at Dominos too??
#24
wow, I never thought of it like that....I wonder how places like Domino's existed before the EU? (read with sarcastic tone)

Totally **** analogy. Lets put it this way, wages go down while everything else goes up because people come here and work for scandalous wages. It isnt just happening at dominos, its happening everywhere. For the time being the poles etc can afford to live on ***** wages because they share something like 4 to an house, I know because I work with alot of them.

Most of you guys spouting off about having more competition with wages, could you live on 5.55 an hour? Because eventually most places will pay minimum wage. Ok so those are for unskilled jobs, but if skilled workers come in and work for nothing, then the same could apply. Its funny how most eu countries put quotas on immigrant workers, but ours doesnt. Then the lefties come along saying theres nothing wrong with people willing to work for minimum wage.
#26
This is meant to be a hot deals forum, not only that this thread is meant to be about pizzas...how off topic can this go?

If you want to discsuss politics go to the misc section..if not there are many other forums where you can discuss your views!
#27
They can't work cheaper, there is a national minimum wage that all workers are entitled under statute.
#28
What a hilarious and surprising thread. Made me laugh!!! And never realised how judgemental some HUKD'er's are! In my experience the poles are far more dedicated and work much harder, are more obliging and more pleasant to look at than a lot of foul UK nationals!
Just my experience obviously.

I don't think anyone passed any sort of judgement on Polish people...only our Immigration system.

In my lifetime I've seen the same billeous drivel spouted about, Jamaicans, Pakistanis, Ugandans, Italians, Asians, Indians, the list is endless, it's a wonder they actually pay a wage in this country at all.
There is a minimum wage anybody whatever their nationality or creed working legally at or above this rate has the right to do so, if they then choose to send their wages abroad it is entirely their busines and nobody elses, if they choose to live four to a broomcupboard in order to minimise their outgoings that is also thier busines. I have generally found that people that object to this fall into the category of bone idle good for nothing moaning indiginant benefit surfers.
[Moderator]#33
Since Dominos appeared on BBC Watchdog, I dont use them anymore

They get Polish staff, deduct money from their salary for the uniform, deduct loads more to put them in really poor accomodation, deduct more again towards delivery vehicle insurance, and so on
By the time they've finished the employee ends up working virtually for free, or at least way below minimum wage, which is illegal.

Might explain why my local Dominos makes really rubbish pizzas.

So firstly, why would someone on benefits moan about wages being lowered? Secondly, could you support a family on minimum wage at 40 hours per week? Could you even get on the property ladder on those wages?

The fact is most countries have strict limits on immigrant workers for obvious reasons.

:-D :p jUST JOINING IN THE HILARITY! I don't give too hoots who works where and does what! I just think it's nice when people do their jobs well, the few poles I've met have and lots of british people too. Just like to add a little spice;-) It really doesn't bother me at all.
#36
The Polish workers will work cheaper. Should we set up a fair trade system where we can pay a little bit more to support british workers:roll:
The Poles are being exploited but are happy to be exploited. The workers who are not ment to be here are exploited even more( chinese cocklers).
The jobs that are being taken are not just from our work shy but also the part time jobs from students, this could have an impact on our futures.
[Moderator]#37
Not sure they're happy about being exploited :-

Polish people and other immigrants have futures too. They come here for a reason, and if our system lets them in, fair play and good luck. They should not be abused, and I am sure it will affect our futures in some way, but it may not be a bad thing to have other nationalities integrated into our society.
#39
Saying all Polish people are hard workers is a bit like saying all Germans are nazis or all Muslims are terrorists. How can you make such a generalisation about a group of people?!

BTW I'm not saying that Polish people don't work hard, but I'm not saying they do - all people are different and at the end of the day this is still the most moronic thread I have ever seen!

*runs off to download Google Earth so he can find his local (insert company name here)*

savagevixen's, They are here for financal reasons and good luck to them. It is not right that they are exploited It is not right that by them being exploited it prices the british workers out of the market.
