Oh bum I didnt even think of that in my rush to get it in my basket lol, ah well. Anyone else going to buy this? I'd be interested in comparing notes when it arrives, see what we all think of it.

Ours arrived today. Size wise its brilliant for our nearly 3yr old who's very tall and for the price we are really pleased. Only problem is the battery doesnt seem to be working properly, charging problem, so it may have to be exchanged. Hubby has just tried one of his batteries on it (same volt but too big to fit in the bike) and it seems to be a decent speed too. Hope we can get this battery thing sorted, then it'll be fab for taking away in the caravan this year to keep the boy amused :)

Having a nightmare with Very - to cut long story short they want to refund me on this one after i've returned it (due for collection tomorrow - but i'm not returning it till I get a new one). On their system is showing full price so ordered me another on account and said they would amend price if I call after delivery, was due to be delivered on Monday, checked account after work tonight and is showing Credit Rejected so no bloody bike. Phoned but the dept I need is closed.
After reading your replies guys we are going to try charging ours for longer as the light is staying on on our too - too afraid to leave it overnight so will charge for few hours now and some more tomorrow before trying it again. If I can avoid having to phone Very and sort all this out i'll be very pleased as they are just a total nightmare to deal with no matter how friendly the people you speak to. Why on earth cant they just replace rather than this re-ordering business? grrr.

Anyway, how's everyone else getting on with theirs??

Just found the problem with ours - the Charger was wired completely wrong!
Not sure about the battery yet, hubby has that on charge with another charger to see if it works BUT he says that the way the Charger was wired, if they tried charging it before despatch then the battery would have most likely been burnt out.
We've bought a new battery for ours because they are being an absolute nightmare about sending another one out and I really dont want the hastle, my son loves this bike so i'm just glad to get it working - if we'd have paid full price it would have gone back!!

Are you able to private message me on here? I've taken pics of the charger wiring taken apart (the bit that plugs into the bike/battery) showing how it was when we opened it with some crazy wiring, and how it looks now that hubby has fixed it. I'm happy to send these pics to anyone it would be helpful to and details of whats wrong.
Obviously there are no guarantees this will be the problem with your bike, or course whether your battery will still work, but it has to be worth a go!

How much did the battery cost you ?? We got our battery 2nd hand from a motorbike shop next to where my hubby works (its a bigger battery which will last twice as long but fits in quad) To buy one new you'd get one in Maplin for around £25-30

Has the orignal worked after the rewire - Seems to be charging now
sent you a message for the pics..

Before repair - as you can see from this pic the two terminals that connect to the battery (2 middle wires) are connected together in a loop, so when you connect it to the bike its just short-circuiting the battery as its the outer two wires that you need. The loop wire serves no purpose so needs to be removed

After repair - as you can see in this pic, the loop wire has been removed and the two outer wires have been moved to the centre where the loop wire used to be. The loop wire has been removed and discarded.
To open the plastic you basically need prise it apart with a small flat-head screwdriver or knife, try to be as careful as you can because you need to glue it back together after the repair

As said above, our original battery now appears to be taking a charge so we are holding onto that as a spare seeing as we have now paid for a better battery. And the charger is working fine. Personally we would not trust to leave this on charge over-night/while away from the house as the charger becomes very hot - as with all batteries you shouldn't really leave them unattended anyway

Hope this helps some of you!

Thanks will give that a try.. cant believe they would wire it so wrong lol

Glad you found it helpful!
Hope you get it working, please keep us posted with how you get on. With any luck you'll have it up and running for your little one soon and when you do i'm sure they will enjoy it as our son absolutely loves it, steers it fine on his own too. Its pretty quick off the mark so be near by the first few times just incase they tip backwards.
Fab buy, once you've got it working lol.

Fab! Just annoys me to think how many will get sent back, people who would have otherwise kept them and got a good deal, all because of this silly wiring problem.

Glad you got yours working anyway, hope your LO enjoys
