Thanks for your ideas and wisdom hot uk people!

Yes Yes Yes I am taking my girlfriend all of the way to Paris to stay
in the cheapest place I can find! I am a Norfolk boy, usually we just
present roadkill as a sign of affection! So its a step in the right direction!
Although that plush pad is sounding good!

See you in Paris maybe!

Well make sure you fill up on the brekkie as Paris is very expensive

Warning: These hotels are not secure, and I speak from experience.

They are usually in industrial areas and there are no staff on site in the evenings. You check yourself in using a machine on the wall, which gives you a 'unique' passcode to enter the building and enter your room.

In the middle of the night using one (we have used many and our satisfaction deteriorated but this was the last straw) in Marne-la-Vallee (sp?) near Paris, there was a beeping on the code pad to our room and then the door opened.

Much shouting by the two of us led to the door closing quickly enough - but no words of apology from outside - and nobody to call to complain during the night. We barricaded the one piece of furniture which wasn't screwed down against the door until morning.

Somehow that machine had given the same code to somebody else, or somebody had a mastercode to all of the rooms. Either way, it ain't secure. We hadn't written our code down anywhere or been overheard.

that must be terrible, surely you should have complined to thier head office or something

Ah, but there's a sink in the room, so no reason why you can't p*ss in that during the night instead of walking down the corridor wearing your birthday suit :-D

yeh but what if you ned a number 2?

and after you saying people wee wee in the sink- that just makes me puke, thinking the sink is right next to the beds

from experience:
the toilets are located in the corridors, so every time you need a wee wee you have to hurry along out the room and hope no one else is waiting to use the toilets. the toilets themself stink and are very small and all plastic.

I stayed in one of these a couple of years ago, it was by far the cheapest room I could find in London. The rooms consist of a double bed with single bunk above and a washbasin, shared toilets and sho…

If we go to france we normally stay in an etap hotel, which is part of the accor hotels group that also owns Formel 1
THey are much batter and still very cheap (around €40)
You get your own bathroom and they arent normally located in industrial estates like the Formel 1 hotels!

Thanks for the tip:thumbsup: as the kids are getting bigger - and everyones tolerance gets less as time passes;-) - might look into this one - thanks:thumbsup:

Beware, the Coventry one has a very bad reputation for its clientele.

Heard the same about the Liverpool one
We have used them quite a lot in France and The Netherlands. I can't speak for the ones in UK. The toilets self clean after every 'visitor' and the showers cubicles are like a fibre glass pod.:? For a few €'s per person, you have the option of a basic continental breakfast. This may be of use to anyone looking for a budget option when visiting EuroDisney. They have 2 of they motels on the outskirts of the Parc about 15/20mins drive away. Best advice is to go to the website for better info and views.
