Don't know what the difference is between this model and this one:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/605522/hotpoint-washer-dryer-wdf740p-295-d

but if I had to buy a washer drier (separate machines are much more reliable) it wouldn't be a Hotpoint!

no difference apart from G=graphite colour scheme and P=polar white

Have went to the deal, but it says the price is £395, not £295 as you quoted -please can anyone clarify
#4
Looks like they have put the price back up to £340.

I thought Empire direct went bust 2 years ago?
#6
ive never used a washer dryer thats done both very well... usually the dryer capabilities suffer.. or break down..
#7
Empire Direct did go bust but either the name or the company were taken over by the owner of Richer Sounds. It is now a sub branch of Richer Sounds. Where Richer do audio/video Empire Direct do the household goods etc.

Only advantage of ebing combined appart from the space saving is you can put your wash on and have it dried automatically after so no need to tranfser to another machine.
Personally not keen on dryers would prefer to dry on a line but obviously bit dependent on the weather!

from what i have been told after a wash you have to remove half the load for the dryer to work correctly.

In my experience a washer drier takes ages to dry clothes compared to a stand alone drier.

Cheers.
