Not bad for a machine being sold on Tesco site for over £450.

Hotpoint - not a good idea - poor reliability (source: Which? and users of HUKD).

Got a Bosch (with 2yr warranty) for around £230 just before Christmas - there are deals on good kit out there.

8kg and 1600 rpm is good but not the best machine on the market. That said, the price is fair and it will do the job. Can't be compared with best in class but it doesn't cost that price either. Not worth anywhere near £450, ever !

Seems a few negative button clickers just follow the first negative post but if they had recently researched the washing machine market, as I have, then they would know what you can get for your money. This has to be way better than a Beko or other BTL landlord crap.

Beko cheap but highly rated. Thought you'd researched the market. Just looked at specs and prices I suspect.

I have had this washing machine for the last few years and it has been a good machine. Don't think the price is that hot though as I only paid around that when I got it. The quidco is a good saving though.

Astounded that this is so negative! I challenge anyone to find the same machine currently cheaper!
Or maybe everyone is just anti-Hotpoint which is a little unfair I believe!

Read the thread and don't be so defensive.

The 5 year parts is a con - callout charges for a Hotpoint engineer are £100 regardless of the fault. Cheaper to get a local repairman in.
