ive just purchased this from the co op, added a 4+1 year warranty all for £400, not the best brand in the world but pretty high spec for the cash.

i have this and love it (i also paid a lot more) heated :)

i've had a hotpoint ultima 6kg for about 9 years now and i use it 2-3 times a day and its still going strong.
i paid something like £400 for it then
the 1600 spin is great for thin (t-shirts etc) items as they come out almost dry

got a 7 kg one for £ 330 couple of weeks ago, so this is even better

Hotpoint's reputation for reliability is very poor. Beko usually cheaper and have above average reliability.

after lots of research, unless you can afford Miele, Bosch, AEG etc, buy an affordable brand with extra warranty.

A simple Bosch needn't be more expensive than this one.

Used to be a big fan of hotpoint as they were reliable, but now they are hopeless and based on my recent experience they've lost a loyal customer. Not a fan of Bosch either!
