John Lewis are selling for £119.50, price match with PC World or Currys (retailing @ £159.99) reserve and collect instore for match plus 10% of the difference = £115.45.

Forgive me but your point is?......as I said, price match it with PC World or Currys on the John Lewis name and get it a bit cheaper. I promise you if you went instore at PCW or Currys and asked for a price match with the House of Fraser name they would reject it.

Well, forgive me too,but how could £119.99 be price-matched UP to to something costing £159.99 & still get 10% of the difference off when it's already 40 quid less?

With respect I dont think you are following what I am saying here. PC World and Currys (one and the same company of course including Dixons) operate a price promise. They have a list of retailers that they promise to price match with and one of them is John Lewis. It states that if you find any item cheaper than their selling price they will match that price and give you a further 10% of the difference between the two prices. Hence in the case of this Humax HD box it works as follows:

The PCWorld/Currys price is £159.99, the John Lewis price £119.50 = a difference of £40.49. 10% of £40.49 = £4.04....therefore PC World or Currys will match the John Lewis price and give you a further £4.04 off the price making the invoice total £115.46 instore over the counter at any PCWorld or Currys, deal done. You can also use this price promise on telephone orders. I hope that clarifies things.

Actually they are two different companies, they aren't connected at all!
