I saw this deal earlier today at my local store, forgot to post it :prop:
They had clear signs also, £19.99 for the game and £9.99 for the gun bought at the same time. Great deal

Agreed, cheaper at Amazon (£29.95).

Still hot! :p

Deal aside, is this game any good? I'm tempted.

I've heard good things about this game. I came so close to buying this today... but I'm rubbish at spending money on myself! If only the kids had asked for it!

I still want the limited version which is still out of stock at £19.99... dammit!

Hi Flodd,

I bought the Collector's Edition version online from GAME.co.uk for £24.99 last week (with 9% QuidCo off that & Reward Points). The hand cannon offer wasn't available then... it was £14.99 :( Wanted two of them as well, but I haven't opened the title... but planned to wait to find the accessories cheaper & crack some skulls open at the same time as the packaging.

Mind you, the bits of plastic should really be £9.99; I think GAME (and other retailers) are just artificially increasing the price to look like you are getting a bargain when a fiver comes off the price, but yes, they are £14.99 in-store when bought outright.

Heat added in any respect.

This is NOT one for the kids, unless you want them to see a grown man return to the womb. See this review:

Don't buy this for the kids. It's got an 18 cert for a few reasons.

Still a great game tho, for adults.

Can this gun be used for other games???

I found this a spectacularly AWFUL game. There is no freedom of movement at all, the game does all the moving around for you, all you do is keep pressing the B button to shoot. No going off to explore (I believe it's called an "on the rails shooter", now I know why)

The Hand Cannon looks kind of cool and I got that as well so I could use it with other games also, Resident Evil 4 in particular. Alas Overkill uses the B button as the trigger, Resident Evil uses B to aim and A for the fire botton so the Hand Cannon doesn't work with it.

If you're happy to just constantly shoot and do nothing else at all then go for it, if you want a little more freedom the Resident Evil 4 and also Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop are better by far.

The game-play sounds much like "Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles" [Wii], "Ghost Squad" [Wii], and most of the "Time Crisis" [PlayStation various] series.

The "Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles" [Wii] title scheduled for November/December this year is also an "on-rails" (or "into the screen") shooter.

I LOL'ed when I read this. You obviously have no concept of what an ON-RAILS SHOOTER is all about? Or have played any of the other House Of The Dead games? OR did any research before you bought it!
