SERIES 1 FOR £14.99 ALSO.
Hugh Laurie stars as the brilliant but sarcastic Dr. Gregory House, a maverick physician who is devoid of bedside manner. While his behavior can border on antisocial, Dr. House thrives on the challenge of solving the medical puzzles that other doctors give up on. Together with his hand-picked team of young medical experts, he'll do whatever it takes in the race against the clock to solve the case.

DONT FORGET QUIDCO!!

Good deal, nice find.

Although this series does annoy me, first his bloody accent. Why does Hugh Laurie feel he has to talk in that annoying american twang.

Then the storylines, each weeks it's;

He has a bad leg
Argues with hospital adminstrator
Mystery illness
His assistants fight off sexual tension to fnd a cure
House finds a cure but nobody believes him
His assistants come up with a cure, more sexual tension
House ignores them and treat the patient.
Hoorah House was right all along.
A little more sexual tension and another arguement with the hospital admin.
End Credits

Same every week. I love it.

*starts drooling*

Hugh Laurie hasn't even registered on the radar for years and suddenly he puts on an american accent and a bad temper and he is SEXY!

Am so glad this offer is back on...buying now! REp left!

He probably found that an upper class English accent made him less believable as an American doctor.

+ It's never lupus.

In the final ever episode (whenever that may be in the future), it WILL be lupus damnit!

Thanks a lot :). Ordered one as a surprise random present for my mum.

Just started watching this. The fun seems to be trying to guess the far fetched disease the patient has. That must be some special hospital that can afford to employ 4-5 Doctors to treat one patient at a time. Don't go into medicine on the back of this programme, lol:)

Good find, thanks amibees

I only ordered season 1 as I was getting season 2 for £9.99. I will be cheesed off if I don't get it.

It's £50 now!

Question for House aficionados...what's the significance of the rowing in the title sequence -my better half always asks-needs to get out more - I just tell her its medical students (assuming there's a college associated with the hospital) ?
#15
Has anyone actually recieved this yet? I ordered this over 2 weeks ago, and HMV are claiming it's back ordered with the supplier but it is still showing as available within 24 hours on the site (at £50 :/). I don't want to call them if they've cancelled other orders, as it's a present that I really want to get!

A month after my order was placed, and a week after being told by customer services that I *will* recieve it, my order has been cancelled due to lack of stock. I guess they just didn't want to sell it so cheaply :(. I'm really annoyed at HMV this time.

HMV have done this to me before for Amped 3 (xbox game), waited weeks until they cancelled, was readily available elsewhere. I won't shop with them again.

It's the Delaware River which is right off of the Princeton/Trenton Area. It's near the Princeton University campus, where House is supposedly working. There really isnt a Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital but the location is based after the University's Hospital.

I also ordered it the day it was available at this price (having missed out on the offer the time before), waited a few weeks, customer service told me it was on order and I *would* get it, then emailed me 2 days later to say that, actually, I wouldn't (so I'm also quite annoyed with HMV!)
