if you go here

http://www.gustorestaurants.uk.com/

request to become a member, they'll send you a member ship card
everytime you book a table, you will get 20% off your entire food bill...every time you go

yesterday we went to the cookridge branch
11 of us including 4 bottles of wine, the bill would've come to £400
we paid £318 after the discount

the membership takes approx 2 weeks to arrive and you do not have to eat there first to get the discount membership card

------------------

also if you sign up to their mailing list, they send you a welcome email, along with a voucher for 25% off your bill the next time you dine there

this is a very nice italian restaurant...i recommend the beef capaccio and suckling pig :O

*** Discount is off Food bill only, and not from drinks ***

Does seem like a lot.

That is one expensive meal, that's nearly £30 each after the discount!

According to the website, it is NOT 20% off the entire bill, but "A standard discount of 20% off the total food bill." makes a bit of a difference if you’re expecting discount off drinks etc.

Seems a good deal to me.

Might not be the cheapest meal around, but with this deal it is cheapER. It's not like it's a big mac and fries either...

So were the OP's drinks free?

Or did the OP get a discount not entitled to?

Or was the OP so pie-eyed to notice the difference? :p

Ive never been to Gusto, but if its good then £30 a head including some decent wine sounds ok.
I wonder how much TGI's would charge for 11 people including drinks :w00t:

voted hot becuase if you go there anyway, then 20% off the food is a good deal

The deal title "how to get a permanent 20% discount off entire bill @ Gusto's italian restaurant" is quite misleading (4 bottles of wine could easily reach/top £100), so perhaps he got the wine for free?

Cold due to misinformation.

can i just say...i did get 20% off the entire bill...and when i got my card through 2 months ago it does say off the entire bill

whether they've changed it since i do not know

but come on... for a great evening out, really nice food (the company is same as black grill and living room)
then £30 a head to me is about normal

you dont expect somewhere like pizza express do you?

i know alot of you have objected to this offer

but if you look at the menu... if you went as a couple, if the food bill came to £40 then your only paying like £32

but yeah i've just read the terms and condition...and it is different to the leaflet enclosed when i got my member card through

to save confusion...i've edited the title

sorry people

p.s it was a leaving for party dinner for a close friend

As far as I am aware, Living Ventures Restaurants Ltd own the following chain restaurants”, Blackhouse grill, Gusto and Est Est Est...You will find that The Living Room Group Ltd own “Living Room” They are two totally separate companies.

I was just pointing out that the 20% discount is only given off the food bill and not drinks, appears to have changed since you acquired a card, have applied for one myself and may be lucky and get same as you. However it is still a good deal for those that wish to eat there and in my opinion ought to be voted hot. Those who don’t wish to make use of it, don’t bother voting either way if it makes you happy, but it doesn’t deserve to be voted cold.
