Thanks OP, reservde one at my local. Made the same mistake as last year by not unpluggning the existing one from the hose, went to use it a couple of days ago and the damn thing had split, doh!
#6
Thank you! Reminded me to replace the one that split during the recent freeze! Reserved one to collect tomorrow. Thanks again :-)

Good price but I've had enough of Hozelock. I've had 3 of their guns now and none have lasted more than a year. Going to buy an all metal B&Q one next time...
#11
Had one of these - bought 6 months ago and split in the last freeze. Had other (lesser) makes in the past that made it through many winters without splitting. Going for an all metal one next time.

Or try one of the Hozelock metal ones; I've got one of these arnd they're very good. And service is good too; the trigger on one that I had for 18 months was getting sticky & they replaced it with no fuss.
Good product & good service.

That's what I thought and did last time! The metal bits were good but after a year the plastic trigger broke. Perhaps I should have tried a return. That's why I'm going all metal next time!

Yep, I did that as well and bought a metal bodied one from Ebay for a tenner to replace it.
This for a fiver is an excellent buy - they are much better quality than the cheapo unbranded ones that normall sell for similar amounts.

Picking one up later today....last one split in freeze, thanks !!!!:3

Thanks for this.

Slough all out of stock.....damn.:(
#18
TIP...do not leave plumbed-in outdoors in freezing temps...the plastic will crack !

Sneaky devils tried to fob me off with a faded used one. So swapped it with the last new one on the shelf. There were a few more used ones there that id seen earlier that month being used outside by their own garden dept.Shoddy.
#20
There were a few in coventry warehouse, but hidden in a box 2 shelves down and one to the left of the other ones.

IMHO they are no better or worse unless your decision is based upon leaving them connected in freezing conditions.

I bought one today for £5 and am very happy with it.

Having already read your Lloydd Grossman comments I am inclined to say your comments are BS anyway.

nice find! heat added.
Picked mine up today, strange thing is that there was no packing just the gun on it's own. I don't know if it is a returned item or like others are saying it's a used item. Is there supposed to be any packing with the gun?
#25
Reserved but got a call from my local to say it was out of stock but if I call in and order it to be delivered to the store,I`ll get it in a week or so for £5.
#26
Bah - just got a call this morning that my "reserved" item was not available (I guess when they have only just gone to the shelves to pick it now rather then when I reserved it yesterday).
