This doesn't deserve to be cold..over £8 quidco and then £50 cashback makes it just over £370! bargain at that price with vista dual core and a brilliant battery life.. 7 in 1 card reader and fingerprint reader too!
#2
Add the cost of another 512MB if you do the Vista thing. Voted hot!
#3

Looks a nice deal this. Hot.

good buy edi with the £50cashback and quidco..not sure how the memory is configured but it could be 2 x 256 sticks of ram so any upgrade would involve purchasing 2 sticks of 512 mb or 1gb ram.
#9
The battery life is pretty darn good at 4.2-hour. Better than a lot of the acer cheapies out there.
#10
anyone comment on what HP build quality is like?
#11
i just bought one and very happy with it

Does anyone know if you can still claim the money back if you buy it through/for your company? We're looking at setting up our developers with laptops, so a business purchase would be without VAT... and with £50 off... I don't this is beatable!

Shouldn't be a problem to claim back VAT as long as you fulfill the usual requirements.
http://image.ebuyer.com/customer/promos/q207_more_wave_10_claim_form_tandcs.pdf
shows T's and C's of the redemption - max 50 per area per customer.
Just make sure claims are done within time limits and that your buying off an "authorised resaler"

Yes it is excellent. I have the Nx6325 with the 3500. The graphics card is really good even if is integrated, I can play Far cry with about middle settings with 1 GB of RAM.

If it is like mine it was one stick of 512 Ram. I bought 512 of ebay for £11.50 undid screwed two screws at the back and put the memory in. Very easy. You can also up grade the hard drive by the same method.

To get to the other 512 of memory you have to take the keyboard off but it looks quite easy.

Do you know if you get a rescue disk with this? I ask as I have a large 2.5" laptop drive sitting around doing nothing and would replace the one in this with that. As long as it comes with a rescue DVD then this will save me having to transfer or do a HD back up.

Thanks

No you don't get one- you have to make one when you switch it on.

How is this £50 cashback works? Is it from HP? How to claim it??

Any catch??
#22
about the OS. do we get a windows XP CD?

and when you get the upgrade, do we get a seperate Vista CD or just an upgrade version of CD?
#23
just to be clear, how many memory slots are there? 4 I assume?
#24
...I'm a bit weary of this because of the relatively low resolution -- only 1024x768 seems quite poor these days tbh, can anyone confirm what it like to use display-wise? (I appreciate that is v. subjective but would appreciate anyone's experience)

cheers, dan
#25
have to agree that the resolution is a bit low. but i used to enjoy 1024 x 768 on a 17" and so it should fit in well in a 15".
#26
hmm, i'm used to 1400x1050 on my ageing Dell, think this might feel to cramped, shame 'cos it's a lovely price ;-)
