Certainly not a bad deal, although buyers should be aware that the processor is quite old (not dual core) and that 512mb RAM may not be sufficient to run vista very well (IMHO I would stick with winXP for a while).

Voted hot!

Adding another 512mb RAM would be ideal.

This will definitely struggle to run Vista, but if you're happy sticking with XP, then this is a great cheap laptop for basic Office work and internet surfing.

for another £30 you can get the 1gig ram and an 80gb drive and this will certainly be cheaper than buying them separately.

this unit will be configured with 64Mb RAM for Graphics meaning you'll get 448mb. If you get the notebook above, or a mem upgrade, it will default to 128mb for graphics.

this one has the £50 off and the amd dual core but again back to 512mb. £387.68 in total.

also, the ebuyer specs aren't bang on as the Sempron 3500+ has twice that cache and batt life is around 3.5 hours. Also it does have firewire and a 7-in-1 media card reader that doesn't get a mention.

as has been said the 512mb models will labour with vista on

Cheers
