The CPU is acceptable for the price in my opinion A6-7310; no SSD either but could be put in if you need it.

Not a bad price for a 17" laptop. But need to spend more time inspecting the specification. Paid this price in 2009 for a 17" laptop, so hope this has a very much better specification!

I think they've skimped a bit on the 5400RPM drive and because it's not an intel processor, it's likely to be cheaper. They've put those savings into the 17" screen. I think it's an OK deal - not terrible, not absolutely fantastic. It's so-so. It comes down to whether you want a big screen or not. Personally, having used an SSD, if I had to go back to a HDD, i'd ONLY use a 7200RPM drive. 5400RPM is a tad bit slow/out-dated. Surprised they're still around in 2017 tbh.

For low activity, a 5400rpm drive is more reliable. In the real world the difference is not that big... You'll still saturate a USB 3.0 port with a 5400rpm mech drive for file transfers. Internal operations will be much more dependent on programs running and processor/Ram type size.

crappy processor (worst than intel i3)
