"Display Signal Input VGA"
#4

#5

£161.49 - £25 = £136.49 now... was it a misprices?
#7
I have a similar HP Monitor, the build quaility is SUPERB, the stand hides all the cables and the clarity is also very good.
#8
I cant belive the Price has gone up already from £138 to £161, it was at £168 the other day, like i said you have to be quick as ebuyers prices go up and down like a fildlers elbow , i bagged one last week at the price £138,if anyone wants one just keep checking daily and it will come back down.
#9
It's a nice bit of kit but I've stopped shopping at ebuyer because of thier kangaroo prices.

for cashback though you need to buy a desktop pc
#12
It’s still £138 on Ebuyer so the deal is good (for now).
#13
I posted this deal last time and the price goes up, down and all over the place.

Bought one at £138 and got the £25 cashback - sent the form last minute, on day 28 next day delivery lol - recieved cashback 3 weeks later

Great screen, no dead pixels, bright, good colours, extra space from 19" is fanatastic. Looks great playing games and movies through the Xbox 360 - would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their monitor.

At this price again = Fantastic buy :-D

Nope, just the monitor

Where does it say that?
#16
How easy would it be to connect a freeview box to this?

Very easily; try blue-tack or elastic bands.
#18
Price back down to £138 (less £25)
#19
isn't 1680x1050 a bit low for a 22"?
I thought my 20" was bad enough at 1680x1050 so these pixels are gonna be pretty big!
#20
you get £25 cashback for monitor & £25 back for the pc,

thed display of the screen is amazing, and you get hp's monitor settings software which is phandy instead of pressing button,s you can set default settings e.g. say for web browising have certain settings & for gaming have another lot of settings which can be quickly changed
#21
why on earth are 24" twice the bloody price!!!!! I want to be able to watch full 1080p HD and 22" is a touch small!!!!!!!!:x:x

My 15.4" laptop is 1680x1050.

Got this in 19", superb moniotr, superb price, (I paid (138 for this in 19")
#23
No DVI, no talk...
#24
ok, i got this last time for £108 after cashback.

- HP takes approx 5 weeks to pay up. google checkout receipt not good enough, must be invoice from seller (which you wont have if you use google checkout, but ebuyer will email to you and you can forward to them).
- build quality is good. i had no dead pixels.
- the reason DVI is left out is because of stupid EU tax laws. its not the mnfrs fault. 90% of people won't notice the difference, its fine really (unless you want to use HDMI>DVI of course!).

mmkay. good deal.
#25
I also got this last time and can vouch for the quality of the monitor. cashback takes a while, but was in no hurry. Voted Hot:thumbsup:

What laptop do you have? Just wondering.

£161.49 inc vat now.

Beautifully made TFT with a 3 year warranty from HP. I bought one for my parents and they're very happy with it. I think it's one of the best finished peripherials I've seen.

Yes, VGA only but I see no problem with that unless you need DVI for some reason. I use DVI on my TFTs and can see no difference between VGA/DVI anyway but it's always best to get as many connections as possible. Saying that this is perfect for most people.

My cashback took about 35 days via cheque. I sent the paperwork recorded delivery.

HP 6715b.

1680x1050 is standard for 20" and 22" monitors.
1280x1024 is standard for 17" and 19" monitors.
1900x1200 is standard for 24" and 26" monitors.
#31
I suppose mentioning that my Dell 30" monitor runs at 2550 x 1600 will just make you all miserable, so I won't. ;-)

The only down-side with these HP 22" screens that I've found is that the screen has a very shiny surface. It creates quite noticable reflections in a bright room. Apart from that, good crisp picture that hides the lack of DVI well.

oh man, you are soooo wrong about that. The difference is immediately apparent to me, DVI is much sharper, not to mention that there isn't any conversion to/from analog.

Absolutley agree!

with DVI it always recognises where the end of the screen is and corrects it so you don't have to constantly adjust horizontal/vertical placement for diff resolutions.
#34
you shouldn't be running different resolutions on a TFT anyway (any other than native will look far worse than any DVI vs VGA thing).

the screen on my L2208W is matte, not shiny at all.
#35
In red letters it says "To claim up to £150 cashback product must be purchased with qualifying Desktop PC. (See claim form for details)"
Now back up to £161.49 inc vat

Smiff is dead right. I got mine today and it is set up next to a HP DV9000 laptop with high gloss truebright whatever screen, but this L2208w puts it to shame. By the way, there is an autofit button in the monitor menu, 1 click and it fits perfect, no horizontal vertical dilema.

One question, how do you get the receipt/invoice from Ebuyer to present to HP for the discount?
