I'm about to ask what is probably a silly question!! ......

If i were to buy a freeview recorder with the right connections could I play this through this monitor? Don't see why I need to by a TV with a TV tuner (obviously!) and a Freeview Digital recorder with a TV tuner in-built also??

I'm sure someone will tell me the answer is 'No' and i'm stupid but at least no-one really knows who I am on HUKD!

Thanks and i'll await the replies from those 'in the know'!!

:-)

1 year collect and return warranty is very poor at this price.

Assuming it's a HDMI-based Freeview unit, it should work fine; in theory.

From the Cnet review, it's only a TN panel and it seems to be at a strange price point. 24" TN panels are less than half this while the better 24" IPS monitors (e.g. Dell U-2410: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2410.htm) are about 50% more.

Unless this offers specific features that you can't find elsewhere, I'd avoid it.

Well your comments above seem dead right, but this does have a VERY specific feature... it's BIGGER! :whistling:

Big monitors are always disproportionately priced: So, by your argument then only 17 or 19" monitors would be worth buying as that;s mainly where the best value is to be had. I would personally be managing with just a 22" as they are so much more affordable, and I find I can't justify spending more, but if your needs really are for a bigger monitor, then the size is going to have to take preference over the cost :-(

You are almost in the 32" Freeview LCD TV range with this sort of price! - Unfortunately the 26" LCD TV pricing is often as expensive or MORE than the 32" pricing!

The extra tuner is VERY useful, as you can watch it while recording on the PVR, even if it is a dual tuner machine!
