It's core i5, not Pentium i5. They're two vastly different CPUs.

Actually, it is the standard for Windows laptop. Many corporate IT users spend 8 hours a day staring at this resolution.

Just as full HD is a poor resolution compared to a 4K screen which HP also supply on some laptops.

For a 15.6" screen the resolution is perfectly adequate and has been for many years, hence not changed. Higher resolutions provide an opportunity for premium costs.

Of course the resolution is poorer than full HD and full HD is poorer than 4K. It is all about cost.
Do not expect full HD at this price on an HP. Feel free to post a deal with full HD at a similar price.

Would rather go for i3 + fhd lenovo from curry's for 349. Heard horror stories about ebuyer..

well i got excited about higher resolution screens so i bought an hp envy 13 with the highest resolution i could find, 3200x1800, and let me tell you i've had more than a few issues because of the higher resolution. Many windows progs (as opposed to store apps) simply do not scale well to this resolution even HP's own software support assistant ends up with a support chat window the size of a postage stamp, it was really funny wearing a watchmaker's magnifying glass just so i can see what was being said on the chat window. So yes for video and stuff made that scales well higher resolutions are great but just like anything else in life there's always a 'but'.

That's a work laptop, I wouldn't care too much about the screen resolution if it belonged to a company. If your spending this much on a personal laptop for yourself then I would care and FHD is a must at this price. You don't have too much common sense do you.

This is not an i5 processor, which cost more than AMD. This does not imply Intel is better. You do not compare the same.

Common sense dictates a person using a laptop at work may well spend more time using it than one at home.
The work laptop used for perhaps 7 hours a day should have a better or equal resolution than one at home for most people.

I am not saying the deal is good, but for most people the resolution is fine in the same way a full HD television is good enough compared to 4k version for many people.

if you're not bothered about dvd writer then the Dell deal from a few weeks ago is a lot better and still available. granted it's a 5th generation i5 but full HD with backlit keyboard and finger print reader

Your completely missing the point because your a novice. £369.99 on this site for this laptop isn't a deal for a non FHD screen. If this laptop had a FHD screen (USP) then with these spec's it would go 800+ degrees.
Yes 1366 x 768 is fine BUT for £369.99 then no because you want to get the most for your money.
If this laptop was £50 cheaper then it's a good deal.

I did not ever say it was a good deal, despite your error!
I certainly would not pay the much for a 15.6" laptop for the spec.
I would expect a 17.3" version.
I just say the resolution is fine for a 15.6" display, for most people.

I really do not understand what your point is. I did not say the price was good.
Can you explain in English and learn the difference between "your" and "you're"?
Perhaps, you could learn from others. ;)

I have provided good deals via comments. I see no need to post deals directly.
There is no need to resort insults to mask your obvious flaws.

Point is this is a deal site (something you're oblivious to). This laptop isn't a deal, if this had a FHD screen then yes or if this laptop was £50 cheaper. Learn child.

Your ignorance is amusing considering your educational standard is low. I do not consider this to be a good deal, considering I paid less than £320 for a 17.3" version. Point out the text where I stated it was a good deal. You lack of intelligence is clear. Do you even know the difference between "of" and "off"?

It's spelt incorrectly. This is the first time I have ever corrected someone on their spelling (only @[email protected] people do that on here). Also I never comment on people intelligence because not everyone went to University (You).
