Good buy if you don't need lots of storage and FHD.

15.6" laptops are just too big and bulky for me, I'd love something like this 13.3" and under for a similar price.

13.3 is the sweet spot for me but most have integrated graphics which is quite annoying.

Fantastic maybe if you can use the 16GB, if it's for general use, you wasted your money.

Lenovo Ideapad 510S with Intel Iris 550, that's a decent machine and the graphics score pretty well too for a laptop.

been looking at this Your text here

or would the one here do with the amd processor?
:)

I sell laptops so I see 80-100 models every week on average. The HP you linked to is good. Lenovo Z50 series is pretty good. HP Pavilion 15 we sell a lot of those. I like Lenovo myself and some Dell's. I don't like Asus because they have bad customer service and I've never liked many Asus laptops. I would definitely get one with an SSD. You shouldn't really concern yourself with graphics performance for £300 as they're all quite poor at this level. Radeon R5 and R6 are poor GPU series.

any recommendations for 13-14 inch laptop on a smaller budget? I will get a beating from the misses if I spend 650 on a laptop. Its annoying because for the same money you can get a 15 inch laptop with far better specs.

FYI the seller uses DPD for next day delivery.

are hp still likely to conk out after 12 months?

Really poor processor, you can easily upgrade the storage manually but not the processor.

I wouldn't buy something with such a weak processor as you are then stuck with it.
