Looks like free delivery as well, i've gone to the point where I have to click ORDER NOW which would commit me to it so looks pretty good on that front.

I've owned at HP monitor for 4 years and can reall vouch for it, the build quality was immense, solid and the 'BrightView' really makes a difference.

I think this is a great price for a 27" screen. Especially one which boasts 3 inputs (VGA, DVI, HDMI)

how is this getting cold votes?

someone find me a better deal than this for a screen this size from a respected manufacturer.

Voted HOT for ya...Couldn't find it cheaper...

Looks good, but you would probably want a higher resolution on a screen this size for computer work...

Can't find any reviews of the 2710m, I can for the 2709, but not the 2710m

Nice size/ design but the resolution is no better than a 24" so not really worth it. Hopefully some day soon the high-res 27" screens like the iMac and Dell U2711 have will make there way to the mainstream
#4
Yeah thats one downside i suppose, the apple cinema display has a res of 2560 by 1440 pixels which is the highest on the market for a screen this size - i think.

I'll have to see it before I commit to buying it i think to see whether this is going to cause an issue with my day to day stuff (Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D rendering, watching porn etc)
#5
I'm maybe rushing to buy a new monitor too much, it might be worth waiting 6 months to see if the res gets upped on one these size.

Cold - needs higher resolution for this size and why only 1 year warranty?

... We are talking about HP here ...

That means absolutely nothing!

15 years ago, when they actually designed and produced product themselves this was a good company - but not any more. Now like the majority they just slap labels on products designed and manufactured by others.

I know since I've worked for HP during the times of transition - believe me there is nothing special about HP any more.

This is a poor deal, poor product and here, HP does not even have the confidence of having an industry wide 3 year monitor warranty cover.
