Yep forgot to change that in the spec. Done now.

[email protected] processor & graphics though eh !

I have the next one up from this one and it is brilliant (Core Duo one) - it does need the 2gb Ram though.
Good build and quite thin.

I am not sure you get 1Gb EXTRA memory, what it actually says is:

LIMITED OFFER PROMO NOW WITH FREE 1GB MEMORY!!

My guess is that it normaly comes with 512Mb and now they are giving you 1Gb.

Nowhere does it actually say you will get 2Gb.

I may be wrong, but I would check with ebuyer before buying as I am sure you will only get 1Gb of memory.

Also agree with others. This is a VERY poor processor, and it is Vista Home Basic. I am sure you could get a better Dell for the same money.

vote hot, as bright screen and good build
#7
the old fashioned pcmcia slot.

No PCI-E.

Name one useful thing to put into a expresscard slot? Anyhing I've seen costs twice as much as a readily available cardbus alternative.

It comes with TWO gigs, a second stick shows up when you add to the basket. You have to add it yourself though :)

Actually, the cpu is not so bad.The 4xx and 5xx Celeron have Core Duo architecture...just one core ;) .It's fast enough for most applications in a home computer - www, skype, office etc.

Got the core duo version.Quality wise the build is second to none. After using mine & then picking up the other halfs dell lappy, hers feels like a concrete slab.As for matey above, name me any laptop with any decent graphics/gaming ability sub £500 let alone an exposable swappable pci express slot.
