i have been searching for a good laptop under 400... i have to say, this is by far the best i have come across..

yes.. it is not Intel C2D... its Athlon.. but processor is really not that important anymore... Intel may be fewsecs faster??? well I can cope with that margin... OK graphic card.. at least its not Intel integrated and with the amount of RAM... u can max the memory...

250GB HD... better than 160GB others offered... BLUETOOTH.. bonus!! webcam.. i think its gonna be a 0.3 mega pixel.. but well.. another bonus... better than nothing.... Lightscribe... not gonna use that a lot.. but its there nevertheless...

what else can u ask for for under 400?

Bought and chose super saver delivery :D will get here by friday
#5
oh wait its changed to "more than 50 in stock for next day delivery"
#6
Shame about the max resolution, otherwise a good deal.

Yes have also been looking for a laptop for a couple of weeks now - just waiting for that better deal to come along - my sons only 9 and is not interested in playing the latest computer games yet because he have got a wii and xbox but want to make sure I get one that he can play the occasional game (maybe not the latest greatest games).

This one seem very good but I was looking at ones from empire direct because they have 10% off everything until midnight tonight Voucher Code EQ5122 so could buy a sony laptop worth £440.00 for the same price as this one. Or Ebay have got 5% off any laptop purchase and there is some decent deals on there:? I don't may just buy this one and have done.

Merry Christmas:santa:

I’m looking for a laptop and this one fits the bill perfectly. My only worry is that the warranty is only for one year. I know from personal experience that when out of warranty, they are expensive to repair and you end up chucking them.

Does anyone know of the costs for extended warranties from either ebuyer or HP themselves?

Knowing that John Lewis and M&S offer 2 year warranties by default may well draw me to buying something from them purely on the basis of peace of mind rather than performance of the laptop itself.

according to this site you can get £40 cashback too

cant see it listed though so they may be wrong

I rang up ebuyer and they said the webcam is 1.3 mp. Also the colour of the laptop is gunmetal grey. Hot deal, I've ordered one, heat added!

I have mine, very happy with it for the price, working well

I've got mine, I'm very happy with it. Excellent spec for the price!!!

Best remind you that the other HP 6735s offer is only £319.

2GB Ram, 120GB hard drive and Vista Basic.

The bonus is that as well as the price it 'supposedly' has the newer, faster 25watts TDP QL-62 CPU.
That is 10 watts less in 'maximum heat' and more power too. Both are good deals but the £319 one is certainly a great budget laptop.

I use the words 'supposedly' in that there may be a misprint on the AMD site in reference to the TDP!!!!!
Who knows butthe 'misprint' has been there so long it may well be 'desperation' by them.

Do I need to be concerned thatthe memory is 667 MHz and not 800MHz?
#23

:santa:
#24
Now £389.98 inc vat

Can anybody tell me if it will work with all tis features in linux ..??
its the only thought which is keeping me from ordering it..
