Correct, the £390 one has a 250gb HDD...... still a very good spec. for the money if you ask me.... I'm using one now!

I have voted it Hot because of the spec but would prefer Vista Business because you then have the option of XP Pro, which I prefer. If you are happy with Vista Home Premium good luck to you.

latest hp cashback offers just ended 31march.

I bought a laptop from Dixons last month can I claim cash back? What is it?
#13
Forgive this general question, I'm not up to speed on newer battery systems - Could anyone advise with this 8 cell battery what kind of battery life could I expect from the machine just doing basic office work and bit of surfing etc?
#14
Heat added - good deal!
#15
This has just gone down to £399 within the hour....http://www.ebuyer.com/product/158887

They also knocked another tenner off the lower spec version making it £379 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/158888

I have just bought the £399 one. :)

I would post the deal myself but I don;t know how, I only joined this week.

hello, how does this compare to a core2duo 2.1?
#18
could anyone suggest a 13" or smaller laptop with an onboard graphics card, sub £500?
#19
This seems to be almost the same price as buying through the HP website,
as you can currently get 18% off all of their prices.

The HP Store are selling this laptop for £499.10 (£434 + vat.)

Add on a 10% voucher, which can be used on everything in the HP Store (HPSHARE),
and you get a total of £449.19.

Chalk up QuidCo's 8% cashback, you end up paying £413.26.

But, okay, I'd prefer to pay eBuyer £419 today, rather than waiting for the 8%
cashback to come back via QuidCo !

We've had nothing but problems with these laptops at work - they blue screen as soon as we put our images on them - Intel processers are fine - AMD - yuk!

For home use, they would suffice.

I just got http://www.cdiscount.co.uk/Computing/LaptopsNetbooks/Laptops/acer-aspire-5920-g1/f-613-179464.html, you can pay in 3 monthly installments and also use quidco

Can the link in this deal be amended it doesn't take you to the item?
#25

Thanks; I'd seen that - but it would be better for TLC to update their deal to include the current price and a direct link.

Don't buy this £415 ex-display deal by mistake
#26
Just got one myself.
Very nice deal, been thinking about it for a while, saw it before xmas, so now i've took the plunge.
Thanks to the OP

Unlucky, the price has gone up today.

I've snoozed and loosed :)

Been weighing it up against the Comet deal and decided to go for this instead. Sods law the price would increase. Will have to keep my eye on it
