HP Baked Beans 415g 5 for £1.00 @ Morrisons

HP Baked Beans are 5 for £1 at Morrisons or 41p each.

You expect 4 for a £1 but 5 for a £1 you can't argue with that price.

Not my favourite beans but they are good enough a bit too much sauce for me, you can't beat Heinz and Branston.

Fab price, might pop in on my way past. I prefer these because to me the sauce taste's a bit nicer than the heinz one's (don't like the branston ones) but I tend to have a bit of a sweet tooth :o

In my store it was only 4 for £1.

Excellent deal, heat added

IMO HP Baked Beans are better than the other 57 varieties.
Excellent price.

79p in Bargain Booze for a four pack - but still cheaper on a can for can basis

Not sure how this deal got to 200+ degrees when the Bargain Booze deal is below 100 degrees.

I guess a hot price isn't a good price anymore on HUKD.

are you serious never heard of bargain booze and after checking their store locater I discovered the nearest one to me was 98 miles away, so the time I paid my fare the deal your on about would cost me at least £50 more never mind the time it would take to get there and back, so I hope this answers your question.

Yes I'm serious. It's unfortunate that you don't live near a store as they have many located all over the country and are clearly cheaper than this deal. Of course you wouldn't travel almost 200 miles round trip for a tin of beans (or even 5 tins) that would be stupid!

I don't have any Home Bargain stores around me. On that basis should I be voting all home bargain deals cold? NO!

But Bargain Booze & Home Bargains do have many stores across the land. To see a deal on the front page because it has been voted hot, yet a deal with offers the same goods at a lower price not may lead millions of people to buy from the more expensive store rather than a cheaper alternative, which I'm sure for many will be closer than their nearest Morrisons.

I guess the forum support officer will be along too to also tell me I'm wrong:

Here you go, I'll save him the trouble:
*"I know that you may be able to buy some of these products slightly cheaper at Bargain Booze or Lidl or Aldi etc. But if you are like me, when I do my weekly shop I usually only go to one place. I don't get in my car drive to Morrisons, then think, right, off to Bargain Booze for my tin of beans, then get in my car again and drive to Sainsburys for my face cream and then off to Aldi for my Nachos etc."

It seems the original notion of Hot UK Deals has been lost somewhere and now it's become a battle of who's the UK's favourite supermarket. (or perhaps in your case which shop is closest to where you live?)

I still can't believe all the heat and rep this thread I created generated - unbelieveable!

Perhaps I should do some more along this line - it's clearly what the current members want to see on HUKD! :whistling:

The shelf ticket is wrong. It says 4 for £1 but the till has the correct offer of 5 for £1. So if you only pick up 4 you pay the full price! I pointed this out at my store Riversway Preston and they checked on the computer. The offer is 5 for £1. They removed the shelf ticket and were going to get a new correct one.

On Friday the offer was 4 for £1 in our store, just checked the receipt.

My favourite brand, when the Branston beans were 4 for a pound I saw a chinese guy with 36packs in his trolley, I took a more modest 4 packs, I couldn't trump that!
#17
picked five of these up for a pound earlier, thanks OP

Why would you want to do that?

There are 2 Bargain Booze stores in Winsford, (10 within a 6 mile radius) and as you can see from the earlier link I posted, they sell these cheaper and have been doing so for the last 4 months.

Oh well, enjoy your beans!

Have you voted the Bargain Booze deal hot too?

It's a cheaper price at BB and there are 5 stores within a 10 mile radius of Birmingham Pallisades.

100/5 = 20p a can at Morrisons
79/4 - 19.75p a can at Bargain Booze

0.25p cheaper is hardly a substantial saving, especially when you would have to make a special trip to Bargain Booze, when you could just pick them up in your weekly shop at Morrisons.

Plus, who the hell would think of going to Bargain Booze for beans :giggle:
