Wow, the camera alone is £95 plus according to froogle and the printer is £35 @ E-Buyer, nice find!

Neither go for very much on eBay, even brand new.

How an HP digital camera can ever be 'worth' so much I will never understand.

Nice find! Don't let the moaning whingers put you off! :-D

Hp cameras are shocking! Please take my word.... this is coming from someone who does occasional work for HP. Still not a bad deal at all though for the price. C3180 a 'old' printer now though so expect cheap C3180's.

HP are good at some things, cameras not being one of them, i think its this price for a reason

Had various HP cameras for the past 4 years (R717 and R727), never had any problems with them and have found the build quality to be a lot better than Kodak or Olympus models of a similar price (I'm usually tech support for my friends at uni). Granted I only paid about £60 new for each of my cameras, but they've been fantastic for holiday snaps and just messing about. Also I love the fact that the R series cameras have their own rechargeable batteries - AA's stress me out!

Although not a camera for the serious photographer, for £80 including a printer this is a decent package for someone wanting to move away from tacky feeling plastic cameras with knobs that drop off!

I have just been to my local Argos in Warrington to pick up this deal but when I got the box home and opened it, it contained a HP Photosmart M737 and not a R742 as expected. Not such a good deal! Anyone had the same problem? I shall be taking mine back tomorrow.

On the website before they had listed that it might be replaced with a 'higher spec' model. The M-series cameras are a load of rubbish - it will be a pity if all of the stock left are the ones with the M737.

bad news --poor stuff
good -- cheap

offers there to temp us and we fall for the trap thanks to those with warnings -- they are not whingers

I got this package back in december, but it was £99 at the time. I was happy to pay that, so would highly recommend it for £80 - If youget the R72 camera, that is.

I sold the printer on ebay for £40 (as I didn't need it) but had bought the package for the camera anyway.

The R742 is a cracking little camera - very compact, stylish (full metal body/casing) and easy to use.

Its the 2nd HP camera I have had (M407 before it) and I have had no problems with either (so far).

Only slight issue with the R742 - you have to remove the battery to charge it, in the seperate charger - so the time/date needs resetting each time you charge the battery - but it does seem to hold a charge for a decent length of time.

Just looking on the web for the M737 - it probably is slightly higher spec than the R742 (R742 is 7mp, M737 is 8mp) but the R742 is a much nicer looking camera.

I wouldnt touch HP cameras with a bargepole......awful....poor reliability...dreadful image quality.....

my son had an hp m407 which lasted 1 year 1 week from minor use (eg about once a week!), image quality was dreadful, didnt like rechargeables at all, HP support were useless, sleep inducing slow shutter speed, the only goodish point was i paid £20 for it

replaced it with an HP e307 mid last year because it was only £20...it wasnt worth 20p quite frankly but its fine for young kids

the other thing as with all HP stuff is the bloatware imaging software they provide you which is not only 10 times is size what it should be but is absolute garbage too

oh HP cameras dont like rechargeables much either, whereas my sony is fine

Stick to canon or nikon, panasonic or sony....ive had an eod400 slr for a year and i still dont understand why i didnt buy one sooner (despite the extra cost....a billion times better than the hp m407 even with its **** kit lens (which i no longer use)).

i think they meant 95 pence, not pounds

I took mine back today to my local Argos as it contained a M737 as I mentioned before and the woman there checked 6 of the 14 boxes she had ther to see if they contained a R747 camera and none of them did. So it looks like this offer is advertised wrong in the first place and you are more than likely to get an M737.
