An OK laser printer made very worthwhile at this price and the cashback to come. Don't forget the 2.5% discount until the 28th using MYVWIN25 according to the link above. Watch out for the toner costs though at around £100 each for genuine HP cartridges and £55 for compatibles.

Got one recently for my other half's office, when the price dropped again and the cashback went back up. It feels a little flimsy when compared with older HP workgroup printers like the classic 2300 series, but you really can't complain about networked duplex colour printing, duplex scanning, copying, and fax, for a net £200. Bargain!

I looked for alternatives at a similar price, but there just isn't anything. The nearest you can find with duplex scanning and networking is a mono laser for around £300. So, very hot from me.

Great printer at this price. We use one at work. We also bought more just after Christmas and cashback has already been paid on them.

Voted hot.

Hope this is better than the HP colour laser workgroup printers I've used in recent years. These spent more time recalibrating and checking for genuine HP consumables than they ever did printing.
#6
does anyone if this has a feeder for multiple page scan
#7
I nearly bought one of these as a scanner, but in the end went for one with a straight through paper path for the scanner. Paid £120 more, though, and no printing option!

Yep, sure does, quite a few pages too.

I got one in December and it's not bad at all for the money! Note that it isn't a duplex scanner though despite being a duplex colour copier - so the document feeder is capable but the scanning function is single sided only.

The consensus on the HP forums is that HP deliberately disabled that function to avoid selling too many of these..... and no one seems to have found a way around it.

Still, not a bad printer/scanner/copier at all. Just wish it would duplex scan as well!!

Got one of these at work, excellent deployment even over Exchange Server 2000 (oldskool!).

I get 4 set of Compatibles from Aus from the "Bay" £120.13 +£50.58 Works out £42.88 each, They are wicked Compatibles... bought some "Printrite" compatables - had nothing but trouble with them & they cost £60 a pop.
#12
Does anyone know if the 4 cartridges you get with this printer are full or starter cartridges? (which are usually 1/3 or 1/2 full)

* HP LaserJet Black Print Cartridge.
* HP LaserJet Yellow Print Cartridge.
* HP LaserJet Cyan Print Cartridge
* HP LaserJet Magenta Print Cartridge.
#13
Fairly sure they are starter cartridges from the last time around although HP dont state this any more
#14
Anyone know what the score is with deliveries from it247 - if it says 3 days is that really 3 days or could it be 2 or 4? Can you rearrange delivery?

That’s what I’m thinking as well. I did look at the spec on the HP website, but it does not state ‘starter’, when I’m sure in the past they used to.

Considering this printer retails at close to £800, there is a slight possibility that they could be full cartridges :)

Would this let me batch scan a lot of 5x7 photographs without bending the photograps up too much ?

They won't feed. You would need to use the flatbed.
#18
Can anyone suggest a batch scanner which would be good for the job of scanning a few thousand 5x7 photos?
#19
I have just cancelled my order using the e-service. I hope it cancels OK. Its still good value, but without full toners not a no-brainer.

We use a Kodak i1200 series at work

I bought a Canon DR2010C scanner, which has a straight through paper path. So that should be ideal for your photos. I do suggest checking the brochure/specs taking into account the weight/type of paper you have used for the photos.

The xerox scanner here will have to bend the photos round a U-shaped path, so you are much more likely to get mis-feeds, and at the very least bent photos.

Never received the cashback last time this was available so be warned... I would be interested to know if others received cashback ok?
#23
apparently this printer comes with toners of 1200 pages capacity, with full toners having capacity of 3500 black, 2800 colour. Not that bad then, as a lot of colour printers at the £200 mark would only have 1500 page toners
#24
They are fine printers so long as you are patient enough to wait for the machine to process your job.
I have one of them in the office. By far, the slowest compared to other HP printers but never gave any problems after months of heavy usage.

I did on the one I purchased back in November. Technically, I was outside of the rebate window (by 1 day!) by the time I got around to scanning the receipt and putting it through the HP website, but it was still processed fine. Cashback came through in late January.
#26
not to forget additional 1% cashback thru quidco !!!
#27
has any one bought this recently ? would like to share experience ?

I stand corrected... just after posting this comment I received the cash back lol

This is an outstanding printer, we are delighted with it. I would tend to disagree with the people who have posted negatives on here, I have found it very quick to print and the network scanner works great too.
#29
just to show how much of a coincidence that is, I ordered this printer last year!!

All printer manufacturers provide starter kits with their printers. This is so there is enough ink to set up and test the printer. In reality there is more ink than this but it does make sense to buy an additional set - you're going to need them at some point anyway so why not save money on another delivery charge.

They do have a bundle with printer and toner cartridges - CM2320fxi + Toner Bundle

Great deal - wont be beaten on price.
#31
My previous printers (HP 2600n) came with full toners, I think there are still some others that still do. Anyway, received this one, well impressed for the money, although quite heavy. Also as its quite a mature print engine, apparently the toners and compatibles are quite reasonable.

How is cashback paid by HP ?

Payment is made by BACS transfer to your bank account. I found this out when I submitted my claim online.

Btw, how does one go about expiring this deal? Or can someone/mod expire this as the price has gone up to £527.46 (+ delivery), although the £170 cashback offer is still available, however it's not as tempting at the £350+ mark.
