After reading reviews on decent colour laser printers I decided to opt for the HP 2605dn which is network ready and can print duplex out of the box.

If you buy the printer and an extra set of all 4 toners at the same time HP will give you a £175 rebate. You have to send off a copy of your reciept which must show the printer and extra toner bought at the same time to qualify for the rebate. More details here...

http://h40059.www4.hp.com/morecolour/?jumpid=ex_r135_1-mrmid_uk_en_smb_ipg/mu/-/morecolour

I have been looking all day and Misco have the cheapest price on the printer, so with the extra toner you are paying £507.57 inc vat but excluding delivery.

With the £175 rebate it comes to £332.79 inc vat.

Dont forget the 6% quidco on this too totalling just over £25 (as it is calculated on the price ex vat & delivery), which i have not included in this price.

So thats the printer and an extra set of toner for £332.79 ex delivery and ex quicdo.

This deal runs out on the 31st October 2007 and all claims must be made within 30 days after purchase.

Delivery looks like £11.16 (5 + 4.50 + VAT) so the immediate total to pay appears to be £518.75 so £343.75 after HP cashback with a potential £25.92 via Quidco until 30 September and £21.60 thereafter (when it returns to 5%).

For comparison though, Amazon.co.uk's initial price is £493.58 so £318.58 after HP cashback.

This really isn't a bad deal.

As much as I dislike hp, you can't really knock their printers.

Don't think you can get the rebate that way, can't find the toner on their site.

I am assuming thats the price for a printer only - the fact this has a whole set of replacement toners included in the price is what makes it a good deal.

Toner is expensive!

I bought a monitor that had HP cashback. You have to write to a company named Outbound Marketing who then dither about for weeks before they send you the cashback after lot of nagging. Be prepared to work for your free £175.

No Chance of the rebate doing it like that.

As long as it is paid then all is good. No different from claiming for a mobile cashback really.

Have to say had to get some cashback from the HP scheme with Outback and you have to be careful with the terms and follow it to the letter, am glad to confirm that the £300 cashback we were entitled to for the purchases we made, came through, but did have to send a chasing email (but this tells you to do so in the terms and conditions for the deal we went for) so have to say hot for the deal as I believe that the cashback will happen and you will get for the price stated :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Voted hot. I got one of these printers a few weeks back with £100 cashback (still waiting for cheque). I have to say that it is an amazing printer (if you can hide it away somewhere as its a bit of a beast).

Printing all my work documents, emails, etc over the network with duplex and colour is so much better than my old Canon inkjet (which is always clogged up) and b&w Samsung laser which can't do duplex and aren't networked. I've wasted so much time and paper over the years living with black and white prints & trying miserably to manually print 80 page documents in duplex that splashing out on one of these was like buying a new toy.

This is a really good printer for the price. PCWB.com sells it for £424.99 and only has 9.95 delivery instead of £13.50. Don't know if you can get cashback tho

Try http://www.belowtrade.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=530_673_697&ref=HP%20Color%20Laserjet%202600n%20Printer
Total cost would be £418.46 + £4.95 for 2 working days' delivery = £424.28.

You will have bought all the qualifying products:
* Q7822A HP Color LaserJet 2605dn
* Q6000A Black print cartridge
* Q6001A Cyan print cartridge
* Q6002A Yellow print cartridge
* Q6003A Magenta print cartridge
http://h40059.www4.hp.com/morecolour/?jumpid=ex_r135_1-mrmid_uk_en_smb_ipg/mu/-/morecolour (as a direct link, from OP).

It would probably be worth checking with the company that their Q7822A would be eligible for the promotion for your own peace of mind. If so, the eventual overall cost would be £249.28 - a good saving compared to the potential £317.83 from Misco (after Quidco and HP cashback) but without some of the convenience of a 'one-click' purchase of all the products. Belowtrade are showing only one of the HP2605DN printers at the moment, though.

It is likely that one could save money elsewhere compared to the original deal as posted so it may well be a deal that is fine to start with could spur on some even more competitive overall costs given more research.

Amazon.co.uk makes it easy if you start by searching for Q7822A which leads you to http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hewlett-Packard-Q7822A-Colour-Laserjet-2605dn/dp/B000FS9QSO/ and you can then keep adding the toner via the 'perfect partner' link.

With SuperSaver delivery, you can have it for £493.58 upfront, so £318.58 after cashback without having to wait for Quidco but earning some Nectar points if you are so inclined (via the Nectar eStores). Of course, if you have the NUS discount on your account Amazon.co.uk will sell the combo for £468.90 or £293.90 after HP cashback. And if the prices of any of the items falls within 30 days, you'll get some more money back.

Have fun.

Awsome deal!! I'm definitly going to get this as soon as I have a chance to scout around for low prices for it.

Bought mine from Misco, will be delivered tomorrow. £523 delivered, minus quidco (tracked at £25.92)and £175 back from HP) making my deal £323 delivered.

how can you not like HP! one of the best companys in the world!

got one of these from below trade after having contacted hp to check they were covered by the promotion. Total cost incl delivery was £426.20 - but as a business we will get the vat of £63.48 back - then the £175 (although some of that might be vat - will have to see ) but if not then thats all in for £187.72!

I bloomin love this site!

Got an email a few days ago telling me that I had been accepted for the cashback. Just have to send an invoice off now to claim it.

Jubbly.

Sorry to drag the topic back up.

I ordered this off Amazon and it arrived yesterday (just in time for the deadline). I'm just sorting out the rebate now and they are asking for the invoice (not the confirmation of order or despatch note).

Amazon sent everything in 3 different boxes with a separate printed invoice in each.
However the terms state all the items must be ordered at the same time. Do you think the rebate may be declined if I send in the 3 separate invoices? Even though they all show the same order number.

I'm a bit late in replying to you, but the answer is Yes. I was in the same situation, and infact just sent a print out from amazon's website.
I invoiced Out Bound, and after calling them up on Monday to hassle them for the cheque, I got it in the post today.
