Similar deal as Medion 13.3" which I haven't received, tempting to buy but I'm interested in HP DV3500ea series too (but more expensive 539 @ PCWORLD).

:)
#5
great price for a great laptop AND a 3 year warranty, what are you waiting for, go buy it!!!
#6
Bought one....

Have been looking at a netbook to replace my 17" HP Laptop but his seems to offer so much more for the same cash.

Extending the warranty to 3 years on a Netbook from Comet would cost £170 on its own !!!
#7
Laptop warranty from Domestic & General costs £99 per extra year !!!!

"Battery life was reasonable at just over three hours...The nc2400 managed two hours 19 minutes of DVD playback" not too bad as it is only a 3 cell battery so a battery upgrade could make substantial improvements. the 90 min to 90% charge time is good too.
#9
very tempting.... but must resist
#10
Similar used NC2400's (18 months old) selling for £265+ on fleabay.

Just a note on the IT247 website - although i've bought one the number available hasnt changed so doesnt appear to be a "live" stock display.
#11
on ebay you can also get a new original hp 6 cell battery for under £30 delivered, to give extra battery life and for under £45 you can get a 9 cell one too.
#12
Bear in mind this is the single core version so very slow !!!! U1400
And no bluetooth !

* Intel 945GM U1400 1.2GHz
* 1GB RAM
* 60GB HDD
* DVD Recordable Drive

Changing the subject slightly!

I am lookiing for a 17" laptop in the £600 to £800 region.

Was looking at the Dell Studio 1735 which are at a good pice currenlty for the spec, with extra 10% off until 14th Jan.

However, there seems to be a lot of problems with quality issues with the Dells which have put me off.

Does anybody out there have any recomendations?

HP, Acer, Sony???????????????

Nope - didnt think it was Dual Core (though would have been even better).

A machine like this is never going to be any use for playing games or crunching videos but it will do what it does just fine.

To be honest the big draw for me is the size, quality & warranty this comes with.

Very hot from me!!!

:?

We use these at work - a quick overview;

Good - very light, quiet
Bad - sloooow (try running more than 2 apps at once), battery life, ( you will be lucky to get a full dvd out of these), if you do get one upgrade the RAM to help things move along.. we have on all of ours just to stop the complaints from users !!

Has Anyone heard of them before......[/B]

I have ordered from them a couple of times, always had good delivery, never a problem so unsure of their post sales customer service.
#23
this is a good deal for those considering a netbook as they are unlikely to be able to run 2 apps at the same time either.
#24
is the ram and drive upgradeable? will this run sql server on virtual machine?

yes, I agree

It is alternernative for netbooks rather than sub-notebooks.The cpu performance is appalling - this is low voltage Intel Core Sole with Yonah core

Voted Hot, I would choose it over any netbook with Atom or Via C7

May have a point there...

Where is it you found the info that the warranty is from the seller & not HP?
#27
probably best to email the seller to find out about the warrenty.

spec of nc2400 dowloaded from hp website says ''Protected by a three-year standard parts and labor warranty – certain restrictions and exclusions apply''.I could not find the exact model - GR750ES
#29
Sorry!!

I assumed that warranty is from Seller...

I ploughed through the website of it247 and could not find any info..

Have sent email to the seller...

will update all upon receipt of reply...:-D

Looks good - impressed with the screen resolution. Very tempting!
#31
At the risk of pointing out the obvious, this model doesn't have a trackpad - but rather a track pointer, which can take some getting used to - some of the later models support both so you can use your preferred control method, but if you're a diehard trackpad fan then you may want to keep this in mind....
#32
voted hot but wish battery could be larger

Run this when you get it -

HP are the worlds worst when it comes to pre-installed junk on their machines.

Hoping its a HP warranty.

I cant imagine that the seller would be offering a 3 year warranty unless they really had to.
#35
just looked at the levono x200 laptop... perfection! everytime a good deal is posted in here I have to go find something much better to get myself away from buying them. lol.
#36
I am fairly sure the warranty is with HP on these. We have a few of them, and all come with 3 year HP warranty.

I would urge men who don't like track pointers to persevere.

Trust me, your girlfriend/wife/mistress/etc will appreciate your improved dexterity and touch.

Voted hot.
