i bought one last week, it says 10 minutes to set up, i timed it, it took me 8 minutes from start to finished printing test. good quality and fairly quick too. would recommend especially if not a big printer like me.

Cartridges seem to be cheap too. £13.97 Black & £16.97 Colour with 300 free points when you buy 2!

Still showing as £39.99 for me?

Still I ordered from Amazon yesterday at £33.97 (Gone up to £36.99 at time of writing) after two Epsons stopped printing on me.

Cold.

This is a better deal

http://www.bestbuy.co.uk/product/1000135589/hp-photosmart-e-all-in-one-wireless-printer.aspx

Just took delivery today and it is awesome, you also get 10% quidco.. which would make it cheaper than this printer.

It has an LCD screen with touch sensitive buttons.

You can print via email or from an iphone/ipad.

It also has apps on it..

Which is better?

HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Wireless Printer (like in the one above this comment) or HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer (the one featured in the deal)

As they are same price. Also is the ink the same price for both?

I'd get the best buy one, but its not available for home delivery and there isn't a best buy near by :(

Afraid I'm voting cold, you can't just look at the printer cost, you have to look at how much it is to keep it going. I don't dispute its a not bad price, however a number of competitors are offering it for roughly the same price or better, and after all that is what this site is about, its not a product review.

Also, £30 for branded cartridges = £8 in generic ones normally.

I'd always tend to opt for an Epson as you can pick their cartridges up for around 65p.

I'd rather pay the extra for that..

I did have it delivered from bestbuy so hopefully they get them back in stock.. It was also £34.99 at amazon when I ordered it from bestbuy too..

This is a pretty good printer, I bought it a week ago from Currys for £39.99, I see they are now selling it in store for £37.99 (on newport road cardiff at least)

Also see web price on the website here.

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/hp-photosmart-e-all-in-one-wireless-multifunction-printer-07374406-pdt.html

Pretty happy with the printer and scanner, wireless works great and cartriges are about £12 for black and £7 for each CYK which is not too bad.

Specs for both are here

I would say IMO at least the e-all-in-one one is nicer looking.

Well technically this is tesco direct and that was tesco instore, but yes sure is one similar deal. This site is weird lately, why is this deal all 200 and yours is all sitting there wasting away at 50.

This is in-store too!

IMO its better to get a more expensive printer that offers compatible inks at a fraction of the cost.

Example
epson printer - £50
1xInk set- £4........3x ink sets - £12........10x ink sets - £36
Total- £54...................Total £62....................Total - £86

HP printer - £34
1xInk set -19.............3x ink sets - £57.......10x ink sets - £190
Total - £53......................Total - £91..................Total - £224

As you can see you make your money back after pretty much 1 set anyway. I know most people won't go through 10 lots of ink cartridges, but just highlighting how quickly the price could mount up.

You could argue that these are compatable inks, however, if you read reviews on the inks beforehand, you know what to expect as far as quality as some offer similar quality as the original inks.

Have used compatible inkjets for the Epson (SX515W) and twice the head blocked rendering it useless, luckily Amazon refunded after not too much hassle. (Amazon review show I was not the only person that had this issue)
I went for HP this time for the precise reason that once you replace the cartridge you also replace the head, rather than having to dump the printer, but I accept that does cost more, but am hoping that the aftermarket cartridges aren't too long in turning up

Plus if you do try refilling the Cartridges and it blocks the heads at least buying new ones will get it working properly again whilst with dedicated heads (as with the Epson) you are stuffed!

Just got an iPad can l connect to the hp desk jet 3050?
#22
Should be able to.
#23
Got it yesterday, setup easily, very impressed, much easier than the Epson I had previously

Found recon cartridges offered for £13.99 for XL from Feb 11 from 999inks
