How does this lifetime HP instant ink work? Is the lifetime ink + postage included in the £49 printer cost? Thanks.

It is very simple, I have just completed my set up and I have to say, I am quite impressed. You will get a code with your printer that you enter at the time of registering (steps to register is included in the box) or simply choose Free Plan and you are done. You get free 15 prints a month and for each 10 extra pages you are charged £1 (you have to supply cc or paypal details at the time of registering). You can track hw much you have printed, if you have carried fwd any unused pages from last month etc etc. Online account is very informative. Good luck!

It's just £1 for 10 extra pages? Are you sure you can carry forward unused pages, and if so I guess it's only for one month?

Yes, £1 for extra 10 pages, I am not quite sure how the billing would work, i.e. would they wait until counter reaches 10 before charging £1 on cc? Following shows in my account section -

FREE plan
Monthly pages 15
Rollover Pages Up to 10 when additional pages purchased
Additional pages Set of 10 pages for £1.00
Promotion: 3 months available when upgraded to a paid plan

In terms of c/f, I havent completed full month yet so wont know for another couple of weeks!

What's the difference between this and 3720 model number?
Also, can you carry over unused pages, month after month, so if I didn't print for 3 months would I have stored 45 pages?
And do you have the option to upgrade to the £1.99 plan? If so when cancelling the plan. Do you still have the lifetime 15 pages per month?
