Welcome to HUKD joolsfan25 :)

As dert points out, the price is £25.24 inc delivery. Free delivery only on £70+ orders, I think.

The HP Photosmart D5160 is also on at £35.24 deliverd. Sells else where for £60 upwards.

Don't forget 3% quidco.

can one get cheap ink or is it 20 quid a cart?
#5
you are right about the delivery. However i will phone apple tomorrow and use my persuasive skills to get delivery included. I'll let you know how i get on!

I won't move away from Epson for the fact that the inks are always cheaper. I have been using an R200 Epson photo (£70) for over a year and I would have put nearly £200 worth of ink through it had I been using Epson originals which cost around a tenner a pop (and it takes 6).

I use 'fakes' which are more than acceptable for quality from ukdvdr.co.uk which normally come in at aroound 70-80 pence each. (approx £4.50 to £5.00 per set)

I'm not sure that you can get HP compatible carts for that money. If you can't then I'd think seriously as to whether or not this is a good deal in the long term.

I use Epson CX5400 & pay just under a quid ea for my compatble carts.

With no real difference in quality

I moved from HP to Brother. Instead of £23.00 minimum for a set of HP compatables mine now cost £7.12. A huge saving.

just phoned apple to try and get the printer for 19 quid, they wouldn't have it lol!

I said I want the 59 quid HP printer with free shipping (with the view that when he said yes i would add the rebate to that :) ). He said he'd do free shipping and give me three printers in total lol. Then I explained about the rebate and he said no way. Oh well! THink I might treat myself to an airport express as they're so cheap now (esp. on education), that'll get me free shipping.

You're right, they're not cheap, I've found refurb carts can be had for about £15 each. For me this is great value after my last three Epson's got clogged heads and had to be binned.

Apple store are also doing the Photosmart 2575 all-in-one for £65 delivered, exceptionally good value for a network printer.
