HP are great printer, weve had one at work for over 5 years and its still going strong.

Does anyone know if this printer charges the ink catridges? As I bought and Espon and every time I turn it on it charges the cartridges draining out the ink, and im constantly replacing them, not sure if thats what all new printers do knowhere days.

Cheers in advance.

Make sure non of you neighbors have the same printer as mine do - I accidentally printed out a picture of my wife's front bum in number 23 the other day.

I have this and it is pretty good for the price... Just ordered ink from Play...

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/13332938/Hewlett-Packard-300-Combo-Colour-Black-Ink-Jet-Cartridge-Set/Product.html

Which is a fair bit cheaper than anything else I had seen, unless I was missing something

Im assuming it works with vista? I need a new printer, my last one broke...and I need something simple.

This printer is good. Got it from Comet when it was this price a week or two ago. You can also scan wirelessly.

Majority times the ink cost almost the same as new printer (done on original HP ink cartridges)

I use it on Macs and it's very straightforward.

Even scans over wi-fi.

Genuine HP Cartridges £16 per pair on Play http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/13332938/Hewlett-Packard-300-Combo-Colour-Black-Ink-Jet-Cartridge-Set/Product.html

Thanks got myself one of these

It works fine with Vista. Very easy to set up. It comes with cartridges.

I used to always use HP years ago then was duped into swtiching to a Lexmark so I could use cheaper cartridges. I've found the Lexmark to be rubbish. The quality nowhere near as good as HP. In the past I've messed about refilling etc. I just CBA any more. I've bought XL cartridges from Ebay sellers that are WAY cheaper than instore or other online retailers.

I bought this printer 2 weeks ago from PC World when it was on offer for £39.99. It's absolutely fine for normal, everyday printer. It prints, it scans, it photocopies.

I got this printer a while ago and have it in my office. Use it probably 5-10 times per day. Ink does not last forever but each cartridge is lasting me at least a couple of months and replacements are not too expensive. Have been buying refills.
My colleague has a Kodak printer which is cheaper on ink but he is always having problems with it. My HP works flawlessly and the quality of the prints is exceptionally good.
