Don't want to claim glory on anything already posted =)

HP dx2250 - MT ATHLON 64 X2 5000+ 2.6GHz 2GB 250GB DVD-RW VISTA HOME BASIC
* AMD Athlon X2 5000+ Processor
* 2GB Memory
* 250GB Hard drive
* DVD-ROM Optical Drive
* Gigabit Ethernet
* Vista Home Basic Operating System
* Monitor Not Included

£199 Ex VAT & Delivery.

Plus £50 Cashback from HP if you buy in December and fiill in the form available on PCWorld's website.

Plus buy from Quidco for 5% Cashback (maybe - not sure if this will stack or not at this time. Hasn't tracked in 24 hours - I'll update if / when it does)

My costs were £239.71 including VAT & Delivery. £50 cashback makes this £189.71 and Quidco will reduce it another £10 quid or so.

NOTE - This is from PCWorld Business not the normal website, though if you're buying by card it seems to not question whether you're ordering for a business or not. I got a dispatch note within 12 hours with no questions asked.

I checked the HP website - you can search for the base model number dx2250 but I can't find this specific item. The closest match based on CPU /memory /hard drive size was £404 Ex VAT. PCWorld have nearly 1700 in stock so delivery times should be great.

NOTE - For gaming requirements ... the power supply appears to be 250W so maybe not enough for the high-end graphics cards although there is a spare PCI-X slot so it's capable of taking the card. Also note it appears the maximum memory is 2Gig so this may not be enough for some people.

As far as I can tell this knocks the spots off even the Dell deal of a couple of months ago and with a lack of anything from Dell at this time I hope this deal works for a few people. First posting btw so please be kind if I've made a spod of myself =)

Aaah and there was me searching by vendor not in the forums ... looks like I didn't even post this where I expected it to post lol. This deal does stand out against others in that list based on price / components, though I think it's the same one Found by Nazht.

Went for this deal. Had went for the Dell Vostro, but after ordering on 18-12 those jokers were going to deliver on 27-12, AND they charge £60 for delivery.

Ordered this yesterday, nest day delivery £9.95, so should arrive today 21-12.

Go figure!?

I ordered from microwarehouse, so can I just print off the despatch notice e-mail and send away the claim form for the £50 ?

Anyone still waiting for confirmation of their cash back?
I hadn't heard before Christmas so sent an enquiry email (within the 7 days) as instructed, but as yet haven't had a response to that either.
