Although a refurb, seems an incredible price for this specification!

HP Elitebook 1030 | 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD (Refurbished)

Picture this: a notebook that starts up in mere seconds, can multitask like no other, has a pristine touch screen and an incredible battery life. Just imagine typing, swiping and working an entire afternoon without ever having to reach for a charger.

With the HP Elitebook 1030, you’ll have to imagine no longer.
Beast

This notebook has been specifically designed to make heavy workloads as easy as possible. The 16 GB of RAM ensures you can have all of your necessary applications open and the 256 GB SSD boots up the system (running on Windows 10 Pro) in a matter of seconds. Powering all of this is the Intel Core m7 Processor; a processor built in such a way that it’s incredibly durable, energy efficient and fanless, making this notebook especially quiet. It truly is a beast.

The screen really stands out too: the 13.3” display is not only QHD+, delivering a 3200 x 1800 resolution, but also a full function touch screen. This way you can easily and quickly drag items, select options and edit images.
Full package

Apart from those impressive specs, the Elitebook 1030 really comes with the full package though. All three USB ports are 3.0 and up, there’s an HDMI out and USB-C port, it comes with a 720p HD Ready webcam, built-in WiFi and fingerprint sensor; the list goes on and on. One of the most impressive details though? It packs all of this in a case of just over 1.5 cm thick and weighing only slightly more than 1 kg. This is thanks to the premium aluminum build, lending the notebook it’s professional and sleek look.

I agree. I'd be willing to put up with a HP refurb but a US keyboard would drive me nuts.

US Spec?
Essentially comes with a US power plug with an adapter for the EU as stated. Other than that, it'll have a US keyboard layout

How much is this new? A dozen places sell it for £2600.00 and higher. One place sells it for £1080.00 new.

Anyone got experience of ibood? Heard of them but never used them.

Need to check how fast the processor is but seems fantastic spec for the money.

I can live with US keyboard and can be set to UK in windows anyway.

It's just the 6 month warranty that's putting me off. What would your options be if it did go wrong after? Can you still challenge under sale of goods or does the fact it's a refurb lose those rights? What about purchasing an extended warranty to cover it from hp or elsewhere?

Tempted by this deal but 6 month warranty, average battery life and US keyboard puts me off.

I love how compact it is along with the fact that it's fanless with good enough specs for what I'll need it for. Also has plenty of ports too! I have a full fledged i7 4790K, 32GB RAM, GTX1070 desktop so don't need an amazing laptop. If only this had a longer battery life then I would have been sold!

Gets a really good review at notebook check, my favourite laptop review site:
