Its about £10 cheaper to buy this printer than a new set of cartridges for my all-in-one Epson!
#2
cheap printer but how much is th ink as most of th printers are chep but it works out more as most inks are not cheap apart from epson:whistling:
#3
At this price you simply throw it away when the ink runs out.
#4
Not THAT cheap as only £29.99 RRP at HP's own website (£5.86 delivery)

Inks are apparently the HP 21 black and 22 multicolour at £8.35/190pp and £9.52/165pp OFFICIAL prices/output
so that's 4p/page for B&W ink and 6p/page for Colour - maybe 10p/page for full black/colour page ?

Sticking with my old Epson and its £1-£2 clone carts.

I have two Epson printers (Photo R300 and DX5050) and cannot find cheap ink for them. I bought compatible cartridges for the R300 and they were not recognised by the printer (tried multiple times - problem was probably caused by the chip), and have been unable to find compatible cartridges for the DX5050.

Also, Cartridge monkey have stopped selling compatible ink for Epsons:

"Following discussions with Seiko Epson Corporation, we have discontinued our range of Epson compatible ink cartridges because of concerns that they may infringe Epson's intellectual property rights.

Whilst we recognise that compatible ink cartridges have a cost advantage over Genuine Epson cartridges, we believe that there are many significant long-term benefits when using ink cartridges manufactured by Epson."

I second that. UKDVDR's clone inks work fine with my r300. Fab.

I was thinking of buying this printer just for the cartridges but

note that the ink cartridges which come with these are not full. They are 6ml or something as opposed to the 20ml you buy in the shops.
