Same question here along with - how does the wireless work ? is it a case of having a wireless router and then going through that ?.
#4
Cheapest wi-fi all-in-one I have seen. Have some heat.
I bought a printer off Amazon recently otherwise I think I might have gone for this one. Not sure what ink economy is like though.
#5
Takes the HP300 ink cart's one black and one tricolour, can use standard or XL sies, around £12 for genuine black and £15 for colour, or £25 and £30 for the XL sizes, supposed to be around 200 pages per cart on the standard black.. Spurious dont seem much cheaper!
Great price for a wireless am tempted, thanks.

this was in pc world for the same price, printer gets its own IP address from your network, nice bit of kit,.

Marked up in my local Staples at £49.77 ! When I enquired they said that they were including a 3 year warranty which normally cost £10 for this sort of item. Manager explained that this covered breakdown for 3 years including accidental damage for the first 12 months ( new for old ). Make sure you get the paperwork done and keep your receipt attached as this is required for a replacement.
I was looking for a new printer for the kids to use and as we all know, kids seem to have a happy knack of breaking these things, I've lost count of how many printers we have thrown out over the years so I figured this wasn't a bad deal.
I also filled in a staples store loyalty / discount card form. This was mainly because you get a £5.00 discount voucher sent to you and as the printer cartridges with new printers are just to get you started, I will need to get some new ones soon. The other thing to mention is that if you take your empty cartridges in with you when you go to buy new ones, Staples will give you £1.00 per cartridge against the cost of the new ones. I know it's only a couple of quid but add that to the £5.00 voucher they promised me and that's £7.00 quid less than I would have paid. The reviews for this machine are generally pretty good. I can't comment yet as I haven't actually had chance to use it.

So it's not £39.77 then?
#10
I just called my local Staples and they are expecting some stock tomorrow. They did confirm the price was £39.77.

Thumbs up for me as I was looking at this printer this morning from PCWorld for £49.99.
#11
Not sure if you have to take the cover at £10 as the item did scan at £39.77 I just checked the receipt.
Looking at the T&C's of the cover, you do have the right to cancel and get a refund for the cost of the cover so I guess either way you could get the item for the price shown on the on the original posting.

However in my local store the shelf edge label is £49.77. Hope this helps.

Picked one up at PC world on 26th Dec for £39.99.
Connected through USB on my desktop PC and wireless on my Samsung netbook.
Works great but you have to use it through Wireless Router.
#13
picked one of these up from pc world when they were on offer, doddle to set up wirelessly, although as mentioned you need to go through a router. Only annoying thing is the extra programs it installs, one of which appeared to be on vista only and it puts an annoying popup on your web browser, which I had to uninstall as it got too annoying. It didn't seem to appear on my XP machine though.

I have one of these and the genuine ink carts (XL's) do not last as long as you would think...paid £42 for a new set i November and now due a new set...bought a refill kit instead and if that does not work will be seriously considering throwing it out for something with better generic ink availability.
However an excellent machine and connected to router smoothly so would recommend for that alone.

Bought one last week at Tesco for £49. Very fast printing with good quality. Plastics (particularly the ink holdinging mechanism) feel a little cheap internally but overall am very pleased with the printer.

There's this one from JL as an alternative for another tenner, with free delivery:

I bought this printer last week for £34.99 from Comet using their coupon code for 5 quid off (was £39). Was just about to post it but they've upped the price of the printer and the coupon is now 5% instead of £5

Good deal.

comet sell it, for £49.99, and if you're a student you can get 10% off although I'm not sure if you have to use a code or something, I can check though as need to log onto the site.

Edit: If you enter NUSOFFER1 at the checkout then you get 10% off which'll make it £44.99.

OP: The black standard 300 carts are £9.99 on Amazon

If you have gone to check-out you have gone to far. When you have searched and found your product the voucher code entry box will appear at top of the active window.

For this price, you can't go wrong - . I instaled for a friend yesterday. Impressed with speed of printing and the HP software is very intuitive.
Its always best to install wireless & usb options as you have fall-back if wireless router goes faulty.
Thanks OP, H&R duly applied

Looks like £59.99 in Comet...

Hang on, no it is £49.99 (or £47.49 with 5%) when you click on it - looks like they've price-matched John Lewis.

Anyway, I paid £39.99 including delivery!

I went into the Loughborough store today and it's £49.77, asked someone in the store and they said that's correct, and that their website is a different entity that sells things at different prices. So it looks like the cheapest is £41.80 from Amazon!
