Hot. Not a fan of larger laptops myself, but great specs for the price.
#3
Got to be good value, this spec, brand new at this price. Only sems five minutes ago that core i3's started at £400+. These laptop deals just keep on coming. Heat added.
#4
great spec for the price but please NOTICE THE HORRIBLE HOTKEYS TO THE LEFT OF THE KEYBOARD

they are not differentiated from the rest of the keyboard so you end up bringing up calculator and internet explorer when intending to press common keys like shift and ctrl
#5
I really wish i could buy this, but i ordered an acer yesterday :(
#6
Brilliant Value.
#7
not brought a pc/laptop for about 2 years, whats so special about the i's are they single or dual core?
#8
This is a super super hot price for an i3, 1080p led, 3gb ram, 320gb, hdmi, decent brand laptop. Ticks all right the right boxes if you're not after dedicated graphics. Amazing price! Voted hot!

the i's are dual core, they have integrated graphics in the same chip so use less power and only 1 heatsink needed, they can also hardware decode HD video.

great price for this laptop, the new intel laptop cpu's are out in 2-3 weeks btw but their prices will obviously be higher.

its not 1080p. 1080p is 1920x1080 not 1600x900.

Very good deal; perhaps even trumps the Sainsbury's 15" emachines i3 370 @ £299 (£288 after nectar & cashback).

Seems like a very good deal, any particular reason why they're this cheap ? End of line ?

Cancel it then.

If you've done it all online and you're just waiting for delivery you have 7 working days from receiving your goods to send it back without any reason at all...Distance Selling Regs (2000).

very good deal for a 17 incher i3 with 7200rpm hd
#15
Thanks. Good deal for me - ordered one. Seem to be going quite quick. 10 sold in last half hour or so.
#16

Blimey m8, you want it all! The acer you've already ordered is a 14" ultra low voltage cpu lightweight portable. This one is great value but its a big powerful lump you could do with a fork lift truck to tote it around. What's it be?
#19
Soooo tempted to go for this, i can't see any better deals around? :D
#20
oh god, plumped for this - hope the wife doesn't find out! Going to use this, instead of the Revo 3610 that arrived today, as my squeezeserver and media server. It can sit on top of my hifi rack and I'll dispose of my Rega Planer 3 that hasn't been switched on for aboput 5 years!

Not a great deal in it performance wise and both will handle the average users requirements like a stroll in the park.
#26
Can anyone give specs on battery life, weight etc? Want to buy but bit worried it might be a bit cumbersome

I'd say no. 1600 x 900 17 inch screen, 1378 x 768 15 inch screen

i3-330 cpu mark score 1954, AMD P820 score 1671

it's heavy, it's cerrtainly not 'portable'. 2.9kg apparently http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02641840.pdf

Same here :):) but I don't regret it. have been looking for a while to upgrade my 4-year dell inspiron with decent mix of i3 & 7200 rpm & price.

Yes

Definitely? Found a clear video of the G72-A40ER which appears to show the bezel over the screen rather than flush with it:
