Stand Adjustments - Height, pivot (rotation), swivel, tilt.

Signal input - One 15-pin mini D-sub analog VGA (VGA cable included), one DVI-D, HDCP support

USB Hub.

You can often add a 4 year on-site warranty upgrade for about £12 with HP monitors also.

Sounds good to me.

HP are a bit slow with the rebates in my experience, mind you, those were over the xmas period!

Thanks Slewt

This is a great deal £225+vat on HP Business!
But where exactly is the £30 cashback - can't see it anywhere on HP - which is the normal location for offers. Maybe Ebuyer have included it already?

can you play xbox 360 on this

It's possible yes, since it has DVI. I think it's from the Xbox 360 HDMI to DVI, but there won't be sound from monitor.
#8
Is this one of those really shiney HPs? If so I'd go for something anti reflective
#9
madkid88, you can play xbox360 on this, but you will need a Xbox 360 Vga cable.

Hope that helps.

Some additional infor on the product:

Overview

The large-screen HP L2245w 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor offers advanced performance and user comfort features in an elegant extra-large 22-inch diagonal wide-aspect screen designed for users who appreciate widescreen viewing, wherever they work.

Features

• Enjoy high resolution viewing with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, sharp resolutions to 1680 x 1050, and fast 5 ms response time. Use the built-in USB hub to quickly connect to peripherals. The digital input with HDCP supports encrypted data content.

• Enable comfortable viewing with wide 160-degree viewing angles and adjustable swivel, tilt, and pivot settings. The low-point height-adjustment setting lets you position the monitor’s lower bezel flush with the desk.

• Help protect against image retention and reduce energy costs with HP Display LiteSaver, which allows prescheduled Sleep mode. Adjust monitor settings and enable theft deterrence through the connected PC with HP Display Assistant.

• Customize the display settings with a wide range of icon-based on-screen display (OSD) controls. Disable the green power LED to minimize distractions, and the on/off button to prevent users from turning off the monitor.

• Position the monitor for the way you work best—on the desk—or using the optional HP Quick Release—a wall, arm, or bundled with another VESA-compliant device, such as an HP Thin Client or HP dc7800 USDT (sold separately).

• This monitor meets stringent worldwide environmental regulatory standards, is ENERGY STAR® qualified, and received a Silver ranking from the Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT).

Yeh this is a glossy and the reflections can give you a headache if you are not used to it, especially if you have a bright room with lots of windows. They have the HP range in Tesco if you want to go look at the glossy screens.

Are you sure? The HP website states the following:

“Faceplate treatment - Anti-glare and anti-static coatings”

And Ebuyer state this:

“Display Screen Coating - Anti-glare, anti-static”

You can upgrade to a 4 year on-site warranty for £13.60; Ebuyer have it in stock.

I have gone for one. It gets a good review on most sites. We'll see how it compares with my Dell 20" and older Neovo 19". Thanks.

If I add a HDMI to DVI-D cable and a HDMI Freeview box, can I use this as a tv and as my monitor for my pc?
I'm trying to confirm it off the net but can't find anything concrete.
Or is there an easier way to make it do both?

Yes you can

I have one of these at work, although its Silver and not Black. I dont rate them at all. With small text on the screen there is alot of what looks like bleeding. I have the latest drives and have the resolution set on the native. anyone have any ideas why, let me know?
We have some 17" Viewsonics and Acers and they look alot nicer.

Excellent in that case I'm buying one, thanks.

is this worth buying for a pc and also playing xbox 360 on it so i get hd graphics
#20
I've got one of these and its great - certainly no colour bleeding and the screen isnt shiny in my opinion and I have mine next to a window and dont suffer any refelctions ? Great with games and movies for me and the having the flexibilty to change the height & rotation is a bonus . . .

Spent a hell of a lot more on screens from acer and viewsonic and have a £200+ acer screen at work and it isnt a nice as my HP in my opinion.

And I got my cash back from HP in a month and that was over the busy xmas period.

Thanks bigdannyb. Did yours come with a DVI cable?
#22
Bought a 20" HP with Pivot Pro about a year and a half ago. I didn't get round to applying for the cashback but what a monitor. Mine only has 600:1 contrast ratio but is still very good. The best thing about these is the build quality. Check out the dimensions of the base and make sure you have the real estate on your desk.. If you have it I absolutely would not hesitate to buy this. Even at £169 it is in my opinion very much worth it.

Not being a previous fan of HP I was totally changed at least where their peripherals are concerned.

Top top product at a vert good price. Nice find.

Mines just arrived, very impressed, extremely surdy base, easy set up, but alas no DVI cable.

I'm not sure if it did to be honest - if your getting it from ebuyer you can pick one up for very little anyway. I had a couple anyway so wouldnt have stuck out in my mind I'm afraid.

This also has a convenient USB hub in the side of it too which is useful bonus especially at this price point . . .
#25
Can anyone suggest a graphics card with DVI input so I can connect my new monitor to it.
I don't want to use it for games as have a 360, so just need something fairly budget.

Thanks
#26
bigdannyb - thanks,

slewts - something like a 7300LE would be suitable, it was £15 on Play for a while, OOS at the moment but they should get them back in. If not, search for this card on other sites.
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3348808/PNY-GeForce-7300-LE-128MB-DDR2-PCI-E-Graphics-Card/Product.html

BTW this has now gone up to £221.89 !

Wow what a monitor.
I received mine today and boy it's massive. The text is much sharper than my older 20" Dell WFP2007
Wish I had ordered 2. I definitely think it was a misprice (with the HP discount) especially when the nonUSB version is still £170!
The screen isn't shiny and looks excellent with DVI.
