not a bad machine but for a refurb its too much money imo
edit: you'll also need a monitor to play anything at 1600*1050

PC35 for £35 discount. Code ends in 2 or 3 days. Not' sure if i would buy it since i was planning to get a 13-14' laptop for university. It's 614.99 in total. Anyway graphics card doesn't actually matter for laptop these days, you're better off buying a gaming desktop if you're too worried about it. Just remember that this laptop uses a i7 720qm

Where does the "1600x1050" come from?

Far too much for a refurb.

It's about £150 off the new price...not bad if you're after an i7!

What do you expect from a refurb i7 laptop? 75% off the price? be realistic here man. It's like wanting a laptop that has 8 hours battery when in reality you're only going to get up to 4 hours of battery. Also could you please direct me to ANY refurb i7 laptop that about what you expect it to cost.

The i7 is meant to be a desktop chip, it will run very hot in a laptop.

Don't use this laptop on your lap if you ever want to have children.

Which i7? This specific one (the i7-720QM) is a mobile processor, designed for laptops. It has 45W TDP instead of the 130W TDP of it's bigger brother the i7-950. Even the mobile i3s and i5s have 35W TDP.

Get your facts straight!

Just bought one of these for £479.99 (refurb) delivered. What a bargain!! It looks brand new. I think they are all finished now as you can't add anymore to the cart and they have taken it off their site at studentcomputers.co.uk. Even for £649.99 this is a bargain - how much do you guys expect to pay for a quad core anyway? What a machine!!
