As I am currently looking for a Laptop, I found this being cheap, and would like to share it with you all.
It is a HP G7015EA, and it says on the website its down from £599,99, and I havent found any others with these specs for the same price.

I hope this goes right, and that it is all done corectly, as it is my first post here.

Saw this yesterday. No better than the Dell £387 deal really. Good deal, especially if you prefer HP.
Its over 3kgs tho..and the battery life is poor.
Would rather up the Dell to a 9cell for the same price and have a better performing machine

I have seen Dell deals that are better, but I was warned against Dell many years ago, and I guess its still kinda hangin' on to my mind, so I dont want it. I am sure whatever this person warned me about is history now for Dell, so maybe I should reconcidder.
The 3 Kg doesnt matter much, as it would just be used in the house, and same with battery, will be plugged in all the time anyway. I guess depends a little what you need it for.

Absolutely...
I dont think Dell is really any lighter..maybe 300grams at most.
Everybody at my work uses Dell, and they seem bombproof for us. All my friends / family have them thanks to me... via MSE, then HotUK / MikeT.

Its no different to cars. I could find somebody who had a Vauxhall that lasted 10 years and swears by them..and another who bought 1 new but it kept going wrong.

Trust me... if Dell was not a good machine, you would start to hear a lot of negative comments on these threads, but you dont. And remember, its easy to criticise rather than give praise..so Dell must be doing something right for them to still be so popular :)

You cant go wrong with the HP at that price. But I would prefer the Dell personally. The only thing that is "better" for the HP is maybe the badge.
