Now before I get slated for posting this - this is a great deal if you are after this particular netbook (and yes I'm posting from mine right now).

Use voucher codes hpquidco or hpshare for 10% reduction. Has also been reduced by £50 on HP website (still £449 for this in PC World & M&S - online only). Plus get 8% cashback on quidco making it almost £120 cheaper. Is definitely one for the ladies and very pretty. Very easy to upgrade the RAM and mine also has a sim card slot for mobile broadband even though it isn't shown on the specs (can't tell you how successful that is as I don't have mobile broadband).

Very much a love it or hate it design, but I voted hot as its the cheapest I have seen.

Just because it has the slot dosn't mean that it actually supports 3G - my NC10 has this, but doesn't actually have the modem behind it.

Sorry - should have said it does have the module in it - you can see the sticker under the battery (but can't look at it while I am using it) - I know I looked it up on Amazon when I got it last week as was surprised to see it in there and saw it advertised for £127. There is also a leaflet on it in the box.

EDIT: OK - just took the battery out and it says HP un2400 mobile broadband module on the sticker.

You can also get the same netbook but in black with a Compaq logo on it from the HP website for £206.17 using the same discount codes and quidco (although can't confirm if that has the mobile broadband module in it).

The specs on most of the netbooks are very similar mainly because they all use the same Intel Atom processor and work from Win XP. The differences will be small details e.g. 3g broadband, battery life, keyboard layout, mouse buttons, screen display etc. It is only up to you if the differences are worth the extra £££

Look at this thread: http://lifehacker.com/5273096/five-best-netbooks and read some of the comments.

The key selling point of this netbook is that it's pink - no other netbook is as "stylish" if this is up your street.

The NC10 is arguably a much better unit, and the 3G version is £320 from Asda - but it's only available in a relatively mundane Black or White.
