HP ML110 G7 - Xeon Quad Core £384.00 (Now £234 after £150 HP Cashback) @ serversplus
Previous cashback offer hes been extended and the price has come down a bit. This is a cracking price for a decent server, the base spec is pretty good and there is plenty of room to upgrade.
A couple of quick points to note:
Memory upgrades - you do not need to use matching pairs so you can buy a 4gb stick to upgrade to 6gb, etc.
There is no optical drive
The delivery code quoted here is only valid for microservers, it does not apply to this one so delivery is not free (next day is £6.95)

I've never really researched the server architecture.
I don't need a server, but the price/power of this deal looks exceptional.
Anyone know A. which psu is in this and B. Would this likely have a pcie 16x slot so I can slam in a decent graphics card? How would that processor fare compared with an i3 2100 for gaming/general system performance?

also 350W PSU, but you can get cheap silent ones over the internet really easily!
performance wise it absolutely destroys an i3 2100, it's actually fairly close to my i5 3450s!

I wouldn't buy this thinking that you could swap out the PSU for a beefier model without doing some research. It'll be standard ATX size, but it'll probably have a proprietary connection to the motherboard.
Yeah, they certainly look standard, but they also look standard on my HP Z400, and that requires a custom PSU.
Just be wary is all I'm saying.

Where's the pci-e slot? underneath that 'baffle'? (WTF is a baffle?) I've built quite a few pcs, and the layout does look strange to me (i.e. someone who hasn't opened a server before.)
Any indication how much length is available for a graphics card? Some of them are so long these days.
Just noticed the pci indicators next to the 'baffle' but still can't see the actual ports underneath...If they are under there, that looks to be a decent amount of length available.
Another thought....does the ram have to be that expensive registered type of ram or will standard DDR3 do?

Looking at the manual, you install your PCI-e cards under the baffle and it's the full length that you can see there. Search for "baffle" in this pdf to see:
