Don't forget 8% Quidco as well
#2
Can you use quidco and the 25% off together?
#3
Where are the details for the cash back offer?
[edit] Here - http://h40059.www4.hp.com/savemoney/hp-officejet-pro.html

I can't see any details mentioning "not in conjunction with any other offer", but I they'll be within their rights to refuse the cash back. Hmm..do I risk it or not?

Hmmm doesn't look like it.....

The cash back came through ok for me, ordered 09/12/09 and received today. I guess it is a risk but even without the cashback this is a good deal as Amazon are selling for £229.99. Take off the £60 cash back this brings it to £169.99.

The HP Store price is £154.99 then a possible £60 cash back.

I bought through Quidco. It hasn't tracked yet and I need to wait a few days to submit an enquiry.

There is a flaw in this.....
:x
The purchase is through the employee discount scheme.
In the terms and contitions of the £60 cashback it says:

11. The offer is valid only in the UK and Northern Ireland for private end users and business customers. This offer may not be combined with any other promotional offers or special pricing offered on the qualifying products.

12. This offer is not open to employees of Hewlett-Packard, their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, participating stockists or anyone connected with the promotion.
Therefore by buying through this link you are (claiming to be) an employee of HP and inelligible for the £60 rebate......:?

Still might give it a go, but it makes the discount look shaky. Good find if it works.
#7
Very tempted to order, but the cartridges for this printer seem quite expensive.
#8
Seems to only have a 1 year warranty from what I can see on the HP site?

Regardless still a great deal on an excellent All-in-One.

I think you have misread this your text says "is NOT open to employees".

Seems a great deal.

4810510..... The bit about 'is not open to employees' refers to the £60 rebate. The printer offer at £154 IS through the employee scheme, which indicates that you are NOT eligible for the rebate. My wording IS correct, although the rebate still might go through. The original poster said they had received their rebate

Why do some members bother analising deals even though they have no intention of buying it?
This is a fantastic deal (heat and rep added OP, and a big thank you from me)
I have had an hp office jet printer for years and they are fantastic, and now wireless with the fax, print and copying for less than £100 is unbelievable. If you don't want one, don't buy one and why are you even looking????????

This isn't for HP EMPLOYEES, it is for EMPLOYEES OF COMPANIES WHO ARE ENROLLED IN THE HP EMPLOYEE PURCHASE PLAN.

Many companies have these schemes in place, for buying IT (and other) equipment from companies who they are major customers of.

My employer has various deals like this for staff, with car/van hire firms, insurance companies, accountants, Microsoft etc - eg I got a copy of Office 2007 Enterprise for £12.

Don't you remember the (heavily abused) Orange PAYG and Contract EPP deal last year???

There is a good chance of this deal going straight through without a hitch, UNTIL it gets hammered.

Sorry, I didn't see any mention of it being an employee only offer.

I do want one and intend to purchase. All I'm doing is trying to bottom out the deal. I can understand your comments towards people who just complain about a deal but I think you are out of order here.

I think that comment is unfair, I said in my quote that I might give it a go. I AM in the market for a HP All in one, I have always used HP and they are excellent. I wanted to help people to make an informed decision, so highlighted that there could be a flaw - which I wanted to alert other members to before they made a decision -
How would you have felt if someone had bought this and not got the discount. Then when they posted their disappointment I posted "I thought it might fail but didn't bother to say as everyone should work it out for themselves....." ?
I did also say good find if it works so I was not knocking the original poster in any way.

you both must have guilty consciences as i never mentioned any names and if you read the op's opening listing i think you'll find them saying

"Have been using this printer since beginning of December and Cash back has come through today.
Great printer if you have a business or do alot of printing. Auto duplex printing and scanning."

so it must of already worked.

I'm not guilty of anything other than trying to clarify the offer. Great post by the OP and I have ordered one. You don't need to be a detective to work out who you were having a pop at. I didn't at anytime question the cashback as I know HP cashback is pretty much guaranteed. I also never questioned the quality of the printer. I asked a genuine question about the 3 year warranty whilst at the same time praising the offer.

Reviews and an explanation of the ink/running costs can be found on the previous deal thread for this item, here.

I sold a total of three of these to two of my customers. All are very happy with them, especially with the running costs and ease of use.

Pros:
- cheap colour printing (using the XL cartridges) as for b/w documents keep using your trusty old HP Laserjet 4000/2000 Series (much much much cheaper)
- duplex printing AND scanning
- network scanning and fax function
- digital sender function for archiving of documents directly to a NAS

Negs:
- noisy (constant low pitched buzzing noise, just keep it 2m away from the nearest desk and you will not hear it)
- takes ~ 2min to become ready after power on
- wastes ink on flushing print heads on every power on (just leave it on 24/7?)
- photo copier lacks some of the advanced functions (ie: copying a 2 sided id card/passport)

It's back now, although it will probably get hammered and later orders will probably fail...orders are accepted manually on the Employee scheme by the look of things

What would be better is a listing on each thread for people who voted cold!

HP Employee Discount Store has been closed 'for maintenance'.

I suspect this is due to high traffic from this website???
#28
Can i get the continuous ink feed for this printer? or should i just go for the Oki laser all in one printer? all i really want is the fax, scan and print in black and white.
#29
I think the store was just closed to implement the VAT increase as the price has now changed to £158.35

Some advice: I bought this printer some time ago and I am very unimpressed with it, it is slow always does constant system checks and is not worth £2 let alone £95. If you want a decent printer that works when you need it to look elsewhere. Ink is also expensive with HP's so be aware.

This is normal with HP OfficeJet Pro machines. Doesn't bother me as I'm used to it with the L7680.

I find that ink costs per page are NOT high with HP printers, compared to others.

You've criticised this printer, but have failed to suggest alternatives.

Hi, its a great deal but would it be compatible with the mac?

Some folks are never happy. Elaborate on "decent printer that works when you need it to"

I bought one a while ago when they were doing the same cashback offer and 3yr warranty.
Mine doesn't constant checks, its definitely not noisey ( I sit no more than 3 ft away from mine )
I don't find it slow compared to past printers I've had. And as for the comments re the ink prices it isn't that bad at all especially if one uses the XL cartridges. Hell your getting a colour printer, scanner/copier and a fax all in one box, and in my opinion a classy looking box. Im very pleased with mine.

the discount code seems to be for HP employee only. Will I get in to problem later?

samani, what if I'm self employed. does the HP cashback must know who is my employer in the HP cashback rebate website?
#38
None of these vouchers work it saya e voucher cannot be used.
