Sorry but it is not worth this price.
You can get used (like new) with same spec and GTX 970m for £700 or new for £1050.

Crazy talk, don't spend over £1000 on a gaming laptop unless it has a GTX 1060 minimum.

970 isnt the best but it isnt bad... and are you sutre same specs.. 4k is pricey still... 16gb ram 4k screen and thin?? for 700 seems unlikely

Yep, I missed 4K. But with this graphic card you can forget playing in 4K, even minesweeper will lag :)

Yes, you're correct. I've read reviews that 4K gaming is difficult.
Personally I'm not a gamer. I just need quad core i7 + 16GB RAM + >256 GB SSD + HDD + somewhat decent graphics. It's only the manufacturers who hype the concept of gaming when you want these specs.
I previously had my eyes on Medion X6601 at 849. But will 200 quid more I'm happy with the 4K screen, slight upgrade of graphics and a non-bulky look, and a HP brand. I especially prefer the low key design on the back of the monitor rather than ASUS or Lenovo gaming laptops, which are just screaming "I'm gaming man!".

To be fair, I removed 'gaming' from title to avoid cold votes because of 965M.

Good move, some words can give a purpose to things and in this case people vere voting cold because for a grand you could expect something better than 695M from a gaming laptop.
But if you look on 4K screen and other bits this offer starts to look good (or even very good) especially if you compare this with one of AP**E Macbooks for the same price.

The GTX 965 is pretty good imo. Certainly gaming worthy.

don't hate on apple, man. I'll have you know you can get an intel atom Mac book with 0 USB ports and a gig of ram, for only £2000. the best black Friday deal I've ever seen on the apple store.

You'd have to be out of your mind to spend this much on a HP and if spending over £1000 on a laptop, a MacBook Pro is the only choice.

For gaming and HP go for this instead.

http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?sel=NTB&id=Y3W46EA&opt=ABU

£1146 with code and at that price it's a good spec.

Windows 10 Home 64
Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ Quad-Core processor
43.9 cm (17.3") diagonal Full-HD (1920 x 1080) display with G-SYNC™
8GB RAM memory with 128GB SSD and 1TB storage
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (6 GB GDDR5 dedicated)

Looks good to me as I would prefer 4k screen and more RAM for productivity.

Am I right in thinking there is a mis-type in the specs and there isn't 2x256gb ssd but 1x256gb ssd + 1tb hdd?

Hi, I am interested in this however I can only see it marked at the price of £1,349.00. Did you mention a code that reduced it down to the price you seen?

Many Thanks!
