a bit more budget friendly, half the RAM but i dont see why anyone would need 8GB ram in a relatively low powered laptop. A dual core processor would struggle to fully utilise 8GB ram, but this model could be upgraded to 8GB and still be less than the original.

Just giving alternatives, not trying to insult the OP.

Just remember the HP one has an i5 4258U which is a 2.4ghz dual core (similar to the i5 4200M) versus the i5 4210U which is a 1.7ghz dual core and that the Iris graphics in the HP one is quite a bit better than the HD4400.

Reason why this deal is not hot is because it's been this price since boxing day.

Apparently it's RRP on HP website is £400 (according to another post on this site)

I bought one (had pc vouchers for xmas) Good machine, moved up from Pentium 1.7ghz Windows 7 with 4gb ram, significant improvement - can not fault it.

Cheers keitht was thinking of buying it so was looking to see if any others I should look at. Looks like a good all rounder though!

Not sure why this isn't hotter, could be the lack of a graphics card. But the i5-4288U is good processor, much better than the i5-4210U which seems to be in many of the deals these days. I've gone for this one and will pick it up tomorrow. With the £25 off for O2 customers I should be getting it for £374. Seems like a good deal at that price.

This comes with a Graphics card -Intel® Iris™. No expert so not sure if that's a standard one that most laptops comes with or if this is a decent one

It's not hot as it's been posted before
