cold.. if u r getting a new laptop you should be looking at i3 or i5 processors around this price
I have a dm3 and it's superby designed with a real premium quality feel to it. Whilst I'd don't think it's necessary to have an i3 or i5 processor I wouldn't go for a celeron.

Your missing the point totally this is a ulv CPU which means that its low voltage that's why the battery life's so good and you pay a premium for it and its a 11.6inch ultra portable laptop not a monster so you cant compare this to them also this is HD ready and has a massive resolution for such a small screen. My missis bought this machine 2 weeks ago and it brilliant but this price is not, she bought the 2gb 250gb hard drive version for £280 with a 3user bullguard free. This machine is nearly £200 more for just a couple of gb of memory and a bigger HDD which you could upgrade far more with what you have saved on the price of this. So for that reason stone cold.

Sorry this is the bigger machine than ours but the price is still not good you can get an acer timeline of a way better spec for £429 and they have the best batterylife of all and it has a much better cpu and 2x250gb hdd.

They bolth have vista on them but thats no issue to replace and have windows XP disc included aswell.
or this 14inch one for £399

£280? Was it new? If so, that's an amazing bargain. 8)
Amazingly overpriced for what it is.
I have a similar version of this and you really don't understand the difference that these HP ulta light laptops make unless you have one. They are really great but its worth regularly checking HPs website as they quite often have offers that reduce these prices below £400. I have one of the latest ones with the 10 hour battery life but only a 320 Gb hard drive, and paid £390 for it a month ago.
I have owned a DM3 and I can honestly say that it has the WORST touchpad/trackpad ever! It is unusable and freezes when ever it wants. This is a common fault with the DM3, be warned! Also the build quality is quite poor, the silver border that goes around the laptop isn't flush and is loose. The laptop overheats very quickly and the battery does not last up to 5 hours regardless what setting. More like 2 hours max. Just letting you know before you buy it!
