No if you browse the laptops on the site you can see which are eligible for the trade in offer, the code appears to be 10% off anything. My Quidco already tracked at £40.41. I have a 4yr old Tosh that's eligible, cost me around £350 so the £150 back is brilliant.

Yes before trade-in with Quidco you're looking at £363.69 - TCB seem to be offering 8% compared to QC 10%. Checking around most other retails are asking an average of £550 for this model

Does the laptop have to be in working order?
#18
Has anyone actually managed to order this via Quidco and using the HP10OFFER discount code? I've tried a number of times using different cards and both times I've received an e-mail from the HP Store with the following:

Unfortunately, the order cannot be completed, as we are unable to verify some of the details on the order used for the purposes of our payment verification process.

Please note that there is nothing to worry about, and if you believe that your details were recorded incorrectly on the order, please re-submit, checking that the information given is complete and correct.

I'm satisfied my details have been entered fine on both occasions, and both cards have been used to successfully purchase things on other websites without issue.

My two options seem to be:

* Place an order by phone (and forfeit Quidco and possibly the HP10OFFER).

* Paying using Paypal as this is an option (but I've read this can result in Quidco not tracking.)

Thats what I am thinking but it will be well over the 7 days period by the time we know of the out come of trade in.
#33
for 213 you can only get a decent Netbook with 1 GB ram and 80 GB HDD. I think it way better that that. :{
#34
Given order last night, order has been accepted this morning and Quidco tracked as well. The only suspicion I have is the 10 missing keys which has done by my 2 year old in the picture! Thanks, it is really HOT deal of course.
#35
Hopefully one of you tech experts out there can help me. I went to the HP website and read all details about trade in and I am very interested. I am not sure if my laptop is 5 or 6 years old though and all the stickers have worn off. The HP site said to go into system information at start up which I did and the date of ROM is 31/10/2006. Is this the day my laptop was born???? If so I am going for it but am just worried it is older than the 5 years.

Thanks

Also does this have HDMI?

Also does this have HDMI?

Received mine yesterday and just completed the trade-in form - its direct payment into you're bank account on receipt of your old laptop. There's also a mention of a £10 reimbursement of shipping costs for sending your old one back. Very pleased with this deal - thanks again

It has HDMI

Try googling it Ted, it will give you an idea. For example check the dates of reviews about your exact model. Or try to find order or delivery confirmation emails.

For those saying no to AMD, how is this one with an i3 processor? Thanks

Lovely offer, I'm so tempted - is the AMD processor a bad idea? Sorry for the silly question, but I have no idea if it's good or not!
Another daft question, is this one http://h40059.www4.hp.com/uk/homelaptops/product.php?id=XD448EA&experience=direct the same in every respect except the colour? It all looks the same to me! Rep given for replies, please advise me!
