Good deal please anyone?

Not bad. I think that is about the price for it though to be honest. The X4 630 is one of the lower end Quad Core processors, probably comparable to the Intel Q8200. Gfx Card is low-end but more than sufficient if you arent thinking of doing any hard core gaming imo.

Thanks. Can anyone recommend a better buy under £600?

i'm waiting on a decent i3/i5 with a dedicated gfx card sub £600

It really depends what you want it for? Im typing this on a Pentium 4, 3Ghz. 1Gb RAM and some random shared Intel Graphics. Running Windows 7 Pro. You really won't need more than the one you have posted for everyday use. Systems with good high-end dedicated graphics are pretty expensive, and often you are better off just buying a cheaper one and upgrading yourself.

If you want something with higher spec and you can wait, it might be worth waiting around until a good DELL deal comes along. Unfortunately, with the run up to X-mas, not many vendors will be reducing prices now.... I will have a look now though and see what I find.

I have this and its great for my needs, first one "died" after 6 weeks but was from tesco so replaced immediately

Thanks for the replies. Don't want anything for gaming just day to day use. Dell seem expensive for specs on offer.

that is a very good system for the price, would be more than enough for daily use should handle anything you throw at it, the onbaord graphics would handle 1080p hd video playback too. plus if you did want to game you would just need to add a better graphics card and your ready, specs will easily handle the latest games.

The Acer Refurb from Argos is a decent deal coming with Blu Ray. It has Windows 7 though. I would be very surprised if your webcam isnt compatible with Windows 7. I have a webcam from the Windows XP era and managed to use it with Windows 7. Usually the generic Win 7 drivers will work with it. What is the model/make of the webcam?
