Seems like a good deal to me, so I've gone ahead and ordered. Deal of the week at saveonlaptops.co.uk

Reviews have been critical on the battery life and running temperatures, however I'm hoping that installing Windows 7, updating the BIOS and removing all spamware will help remedy this.

This maybe a discontinued model but still £50+ more elsewhere, often just for the single core version.

Hot for me but shame about the battery life (& Vista).

Generally always going to be those with bad experiences that make the effort to post on such sites.

Apparently dispatched already, though tracking number finds nothing at the moment. Won't hold my breath for next day delivery as promised, but will update when the laptop arrives!

Also:
Xenex House, 90 New Town Row, Birmingham, B6 4HZ - Tel: 0121 260 0046
Company Reg. No: 3224094 - VAT No: 669 7193 75

Maybe trading under various websites, but at least not completely anonymous.

anybody knows if the system is 64bit?

Quite a number of bad reviews. esp about delivery. I think it's unacceptable for a company to lie. From the gist of reviews. It seems consistently obvious that the company has bad communication, provides next day delivery, which they do not have control over so cannot guarantee next day del and provide a poor returns service if things go wrong.

I would prefer more positive reviews before making a purchase.

Thanks gsawkins. Was going to buy, but those reviews put me off completely.

Ordered at 15:55 yesterday, and delivered today as promised!

Just getting setup now, but all looks good out the box at the moment.

Please do not buy any laptop's from this company. I ordered one last week, but was asked to call them to be told there was a problem with my billing address and purchase the laptop online again. The payment had gone through. The laptop never appeared on the website again...!! I was just praying to get the money back.. Read a few similar stories online.. Please check..
